I asked if I could see the pups specifically. Also, I would not bring a sleeve if I was trying to select a young puppy...a rag maybe...  The bottom line is the average buyer wants to see the pups in person and it is not an unreasonable request.  I am not trying to be combative or accusatory, but you accused the OP of slander and basically all he was saying was that he was interested in purchasing a pup from you and you wouldn't allow him to see them. So I am trying to get clarification. Do you or do you not allow potential buyers to see your pups and if not, why.

I have known Bill Saffore for several years.  I have a stunning black DDR male from Arco, who is one of the finest DDR puppies I have ever had.  I have been in the breed for over 35 years, and have owned some of the first DDR dogs imported into the US that received full registration....before the wall came down.  I am not a beginner.....and I make my own puppies....so I think it's saying something that I'd buy one from Bill. 

I count myself fortunate to be sending 2 of my bitches to Bill's to be bred as soon as they are in heat.  Arco is a very high quality dog with an alternative pedigree.  Although, in my opinion, like a great stud dog, he produces even better than he is.  I can't give any higher praise to a breeding dog than that.

You know........ any ass can kick down a barn.....and talk is very cheap.  That said, Bill is one of the ONLY breeders I send my clients to when I cannot meet their needs.  He is a man of great integrity, and he has absolutely superior dogs that are kept beautifully.  I don't know what more I can say.  IF you are fortunate, you'll be able to get a puppy from Bill.

I visited Mr. Saffore's home this past Wednesday May 12th. I called him a couple days prior about possibly buying a puppy and we set up this time for me to come see his puppies. When I arrived, he was very pleasant and easy to talk to. After meeting each other he walked me through the paperwork and hip certifications and things of that nature. We had spoke on the phone he had a couple older puppies for sale. Before seeing the pups, he took me around his kennels and visited with all of his dogs, and from what I saw he takes amazing care of his animals, they look healthy and have a nice run as well.

After seeing how the dogs were housed and how comfortable they are, he showed me the pups, which are kept air conditioned and have proper diet, and have plenty of excercise and beautiful coats.

Mr Saffore spent just about 3hours of his time with me and letting me play with the pups for awhile (which was great) The pups have awesome personalities and were very friendly, not even nipping or biting. I hated having to leave! I was there with the intent to possibly make an addition to my family and after speaking with him and seeing the pups I made the decision to wait till later in the year to do so. He wasn't trying to force any type of sale on me, nor was he upset when I made the decision.

I'll wrap this up, I would and absolutely purchase one of his pups. He made the experience a very good one.

Sarah~~Very nicely stated !  I don't know Bill personally, never seen his dogs in person, but I do visit his site and know what he has is excellence in DDR dogs.  Over and obove that, you never hear him speak unkind of anyone in a public setting and in return, this is the only post I have ever seen with anything negative about him.   That speaks volumes about Bill and what he does in his program.
