Could you or someone elaborate on that further please? What is it that you don't like about Fero X Mink?
I've heard others mention that also, and I'd like to know exactly why.
Maybe anyone who knew Fero or Mink could tell me a little about both of them, since both my dogs have Fero, and one has Mink and Fero.
Thanks!
I don't want to derail this thread, hopefully the OP won't mind.

Are you talking about Mink v Muikenshof, if so he was bred and trained by a friend of mine over here in Belgium, he turned out many good Dogs with several Daughters becoming top class breeding Females

Hi Steve, I assumed they were talking about Mink vom Haus Wittfeld, which is the one in my females pedigree.

Thanks for the offer Ibrahim, maybe we could make a trade...

red sable, MINK wittfeld was a fine dog and produced well if bred properly. as i said before, based on my own personal experience, i don't care for the mink/fero cross. i know a gal in MN who has a wonderful crok grandson that makes me take back everything i ever said about crok & mink. :) bottom line, i just see more success in keeping mink with the other "greif" dogs. also, i will add that a little mink goes a long way. there are other dogs the same way. you see them once in a pedigree - fine. you see them more than once and you see what you want to avoid in that line. jmho, but when breeding on mink choose partners with high degrees of trainability, compliant. choose partners that have sufficient prey drive, but not excessive. choose partners that do not exhibit any sort of handler aggression and choose partners that have normal elbows.

how about every crappy dog with troll in the fourth or fifth generation , also to blame on troll
anybody realize howmany dogs worldwide have troll in the fourth or fifth generation , and none of them is good or bad because of troll, being way back , but because the combination of parents was good or not
better look at the dogs your breeding with instead of whats already fallen off the paper pedigree
5-5 linebreeding is as good as any outcross , especially if the dog your linebreeding 5-5 on is not closely linebred himself
just my 2 cents about this

Actually, I like that kind of a dog

My female is not in the least, although, she can be hard headed at times.
