VM,
I think it depends on where you live, but I am not sure. The best thing to do would be to call Arbico. 800-827-2847  http://www.arbico-organics.com/category/beneficial-nematodes  Their customer service department has always been very helpful and guided me well.  Tell them where you live and that you want to treat for both fleas and ticks. They will tell you what to use as there are different typesof nematodes for different climates. Be sure to ask them when you should apply it and how often. Initially they recommend two treatments, two weeks apart,  if I remember correctly. I hope the nematodes work as well for you as they have for me!
The best,
Char

Thanks a lot Char. We're having issues we've never had before  because of increased rainfall. Poor dogs. I will definitely try it because I do NOT like putting poisons on my dogs and the so-called natural remedies are doing squat.

VM a friebs sent me this, I used 20 Mule Team Borax to rid an apartment of fleas. Just sprinkled in the carpet and under the furniture cushions, left a few days and then vacuumed. Never saw another flea. The borax extracts all of the moisture and they die - eggs as well. This may work on ants in the house and won't hurt the kids or pets
