Should have mentiond that they are actually on a rafter joyce, (I think thats what you call them) that is a 2 X 6.

I'm seeing alot of bees this year too. The tree above one of my kennels is always popular. Sounds like they have a nest but I think it's just the bees pollenating. I have looked out several times to witness my youngest dog playing with a bee that is crawling on the kennel floor. Day before yesterday he stepped on one and looked like he got stung. His foot didn't swell up, guess he isn't allergic, thank God. Yesterday he tortured a snail that got flooded out of the flower bed, due to rain.
