So shadow would not be a bi?
Another pic of Bandit. Here is his pedigree http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/653791.html His father is a black with bleed through. I have a better picture of his sire, just havent updated the database with it yet.

Oh yes here is a pic of Bandits sister. She lives over at a friends now, gonna ask him to send a new pic of Chomper.

No, Shadow is not bicolor. The other pups are. Ingo is still not bicolor- though gorgeous.
Thank you, Sock Puppet!

Ingo has red behind the ears, he looks like a blanket back to me, or as Linda Shaw would say, melanistic black and tan.

Cool! I just found out my blanket back is a melanistic B&T. Ya learn something everyday!

black and tans seem to have color over their upper thigh and upper arm regions.

Jenni 78 you are right on your call of the bi-colors. If you can find some pics of old DDR color photos from 70's and 80's there where some amazing bi-colors. Two red spots on the jaw , red on the feet with the black penciling down each toe. They where very handsome. I love a true bi-color and the darkest sable you can find. I have a friend in europe hunting for me a bi-color pup from serious working lines but so far no luck.

Are you sure DebiSue? I was thinking mine was a melanistic B&T and then I saw the faded bi-color and/or what about the bright points, and who knows what I have! lol
