I was just told last night that Im brutal when I drink and talk. Im honest when Im not drinking but will be tactful. When Ive had a couple I call it like I see it. I avoid other dog conversations at all costs anymore unless its with friends or people I know. Its easier to save face then to get mad. Besides your not going to change their minds so its a waste of energy to even go there.

Thanks for the advice, GSDtravels...I'll keep it in mind.
I don't drink as a rule, and despite that, I have a hard time controlling my mouth when I'm dealing with people who are, for lack of a better term, idiots. Sometimes what I see them do or hear them say just has me shaking my head...
No, the love you have for your dog has nothing to do with what you pay for food, or even for the dog, for that matter...
I'll stay sober, I think, and keep my opinions to myself....;-)

That's why I don't drink too often and when I do it doesn't take much. Was just a bad day and sometimes, ya just gotta! I think next time will be when my divorce is final. I may imbibe at home with a few close friends, just to celebrate (and stay out of trouble)!

I was at a "judges dinner" before a trial and the helper was bragging about how his dog had 3 bites......I bit my tongue.
All were because of poor handling practices of the owner. A friend was told to go into the back yard to get something and the dog was out, another friend was playing grab ass with the owner and the dog bit the friend, and third was the mother in law came over and walked in with out being "let in". mother in law visits at least 3 times a week and is very much loved by all members of the family.
If my dogs bit someone, especially a friend, I wouldn't brag, dang, I wouldn't even mention it....... I would be embarrassed!
I don't understand why some people have to brag about how big and bad their dogs are - its beyond me.
MOONS - short sentences and not substance - right on!
