Jenni78

Phil, the first thing I noticed was the photoshopping, but then the rest of it was so funny the photoshopping paled in comparison. Here I am, sitting on a virtual GOLD MINE, and I didn't even know it! I think the dam, at least, is way too fat from the pics I saw. She still looks pregnant in the pics w/the 3 and 4 week old puppies. Like I pointed out, a moron with a tape measure does not mean the dog is really 28.5" at the withers. I could do that and come up w/that as a measurement for Caleb. Or maybe they  used it backwards, LOL.

The home page had me laughing so hard I could hardly read the screen. I couldn't help but think to myself how I really should raise my prices. How is it that these pups go for upwards of $2500 (darker is more expensive ROFLMAO- they're breeding black to black...how can they charge more for darker???) and the rest of us "give" well bred, high quality pups from Kor'd, titled, V-rated parents for around $1500. It's no wonder we don't make any money!!!  There are exceptions and people who charge more, but that seem to be the average.

When you spend the price of good used car on a truly high quality import w/proper breeding credentials, no way you get that money back on a litter of pups. You'll be lucky to break even every time, considering the expenses after the litter is born. BUT- if you import puppies, raise them at home, feed them Pro-Pac, then just breed the 2 dogs you happen to have, and sell the pups for $2500 each, now THERE'S where you make your money. I can't believe I've been so obtuse!

Like I said, the dogs themselves aren't so very horrible (not my cup of tea, but not the worst). What's horrible about  it is that they simply took poor representatives (structure, size) and decided to pretend they're a special breed, sort of like a GSD, but a little different-hence the spelling change. LOL.

I'm turning over a new leaf. From now on, I am pricing pups on darkness of color and selling them by the pound. They are $200/lb, and there is a premium surcharge on all very dark sables of $250. Solid blacks will be $300 extra. Bicolors are so rare, they are $350 extra.

Chausser, sorry buddy, YOU OWE ME MONEY!

I's gunna git rich!!!

Jen,

Here is a photo of the pup I got from you.  See, not a stitch of black!  Her weight is just a hair over 7 lbs, so she is actually a miniature white GSD, therefore I think we are even!  You must be 'misremembering'!  LOL!

Oh, and if you read carefully, they are not in it to make a profit.  That's why they aren't having a litter this year!  LOL!

That little thing is actually kind of cute. But it doesn't have that demonic look in its eyes like the puppy I sold you, so I know you're lying.

The way I figure it: 40x200=8000, plus the dark sable premium fee of $250, so that comes to $8250, plus board ($20/day for let's say 30 days), so that's roughly $8850, hell we'll just call it $9k. You gave me a downpayment of around $1500, less paypal fees and breeder courtesy and sparkling personality surcharges, but I'm feeling generous, so we'll leave it at $1500. That means I have $7500 coming to me. Whoohoo!!!!!!!

OR- if you REALLY went by their pricing strategy, I probably owe YOU money, since they raise the charge for all recessive genes and faults against the standard. Since the pup I sold you was quite a lovely specimen of the breed, she's not worth much on this scale. <sigh> Back to the drawing board.

I've seen this before...Had to shake my head.  Since black GSD can be born into the same litters as other colors, I guess that it should be the goal of all the breeders to try and scrape as many blacks as they can, out of their litters.  Heck, why stop there?  Why not just dye the dog's coat, and sell all of them as blacks?

Sorry, hard to take serious.

Phil that Great Dane isn't a fake.It was on Oprah and has been all over the place. It truly IS that big!! Can you imagine the clean up?!!! That dog even has it's own FB page!! Can't imagine that it is going to live all that long being that big.
The black gads might be photoshoped but either way they are TOO big.I think that one pic shows that they are 28.5inch at the withers.

Lav, I bet he's not truly 28.5 if measured correctly. It is not possible to get a correct, legal, measurement w/a tape measure the way they show Blondie doing it. Who knows what they call "withers"? Could be they're measuring halfway up his neck. <shrug>. The size the funniest part to me; the funniest part is what ignorant hillbillies (sorry- don't mean to insult hillbillies) they appear to be SPELLING THE NAME WRONG IN THEIR TITLE ON THEIR HOMEPAGE even. LMAO. The more you read, the worse it gets.

Maybe my REAL favorite part is listed under "pedigrees" or "lineage" or something like that. I laughed out loud when I realized that when they say "Troll lineage" they didn't mean any particular "Troll." ROFLMAO

Oh, you make me long for the good old days on an old forum, where I frequently made wonderful and prolific use of the word trollup. <sigh> Oh, I yearn for the days of old.

Sometimes I yearn for days also, but, for me it's "Days of Yore"!
