I went back and edited in the explanation.

Here is a new one:

At midnight on Sunday, December 31st, Professor Stone set two of his analogue clocks to the correct time. One of his clocks gains one minute every hour and the other loses two minutes every hour.

1. When will the clocks next show the same time as each other?
2. When will the clocks both show the correct time?

Ibrahim, I'm just guessing, we have to wait for muldoon with the answer! Just got me thinking "out of the box", something about being Irish got me suspicious, they being such wee devilish creatures....LOL

Ibrahim,
The wee devil in me thinks the first one might be 12pm, after 10 days (240 hours later), which is 240 hours later. They will be at 4pm, one having gained 240 minutes (4 hours) and the other having lost 480 minutes (8 hours).........

The answer to 2, when they will show the correct time, is when I have had 12 pints of Guinness and all clocks look the same to me. Hic. Slainte.
