"We were training on NO CATS; then my dog went and looked at the cat and got kicked in the mouth/face. My heart went to my toes and I cried all the way home."

I'd have been smiling...all the way to the jail.

Years ago I sold a guy in upstate PA. a DDR male that was Sch3 PSH 3 FH3 and was a border dog. He wanted a tough dog and he got one. Well he was scared of him and the dog was a talker, not dangerous but would growl and talk to you if you come down on him verbally or with a collar, no handler aggression just grouchy.lol He had this older German butcher there that told him to buy a dozen brauts, which he did and Urinate on them for a couple days then feed them to the dog and the dog would be his , total respect. He did and no changes other that the dog refused to eat them I don't know how long he soaked them in urine or not but to know this guy was a trip he would listen to any off the wall training advice going...

actually, he was probably serious. infact, i have heard even worse. a military man that i worked with at one time, told me that his trainer told the handlers to do "you know what" to their dogs........same reason. dominance and submission. sick! that has got to be illigal. i've also heard of horse trainers peeing on hay......again, same reason. too many whackoooos.

An old K9 trainer told my trainer friend many, many years ago that he "Alpha rolls" his dogs hard then chokes them into near unconsciousness, then urinated on them while they were still woozy. He said it was the only way to establish who was boss, and you may have to do it more then once. This idiot got a really tough, huge dog who decided to lay in wait then tore the crap out of the guy when he tried to roll him again; the damage to the idiot was very serious. Tee hee hee. I love Karma.

To "you know what" the dog?!?!?!?! That guy should be in jail. Or an asylum.
That's the most disgusting, disturbing thing I have ever read.

I am ready to vomit at some of these!! So, mine seems insignificant, but here goes anyway...

Do not do ANY obedience with your dog. Only bite work/prey work because it is a showline!

Set me back several years on getting control of my HIGH DRIVE showline!!
