You are absolutely correct, Kaffirdog. I AM in the US and am (and have been) well aware of the Smiths vis a vis gsds. BUT, I did not ASSUME that this "had" to be the Darby-Dan Smiths. The second thread they started DOES provide the necessary details for anyone to offer help, and true to form, members of the pdb have come through with that information. Notably, the only nasty posts on this thread are from yellowrose and her ASSUMING. By the way, contrary to YR's assertions, their name is not found in connection with "EVERY" gsd or dog event in this country. It is rarely, if ever, seen in connection with schutzhund or SV-style show events. :-) To the OP: I hope that you find your dog. You have been given very good suggestions on the second thread. Good Luck.

This is from the Smith's third thread: Post Reply « Previous 1 Next » Can you help us? by Dan and Marilyn Smith on 28 January 2010 - 15:01 Dan and Marilyn Smith Posts: 3 Joined: Wed Jan 27, 2010 11:55 pm Our dog was picked up in Germany on Monday Jan.18 from his breeder Martin Steffen. He was then transported to Denmark and was supposed to be flown in on Friday the 23. We called to find out how he was and were told he had pused past our trainers friend , chasing a cat , and was lost.  We have been in contact with Martin Steffen, and at this point he knows less than we do. His calls are also unanswered. Report Abusive « Previo
