I once new a man who named every dog he ever owned, Dog.
Then, one day, he came across a homeless curr who rode home with him on the back of his motor cycle, he decided to name him Aardvark.
My point is it doesn't really matter what you name your dog as long as he knows his name.
One of my best dogs ever was named Wile E. Coyote.
In time a name will just come to you and you'll love it.
By the way, is he from the dams first litter or second or third, litter names sometimes start out this way.
A litter, B litter, and so on.

I had a female that was from an A litter and I gave her an A name for the paperwork but called her something else....actually a Z name at the other end of the alphabet.lol The dog I was given's name was Cain....didn't like it so call him Zane(he is a bit Zany). He responds to it cause it rhymes....at least I think that is why he listens to it.Or maybe it is cause he has become attached to me. It isn't like the dog knows he has a cool name or not but it is nice to have a good name to call it by.

A call name does not have to be the registered name thats for sure.
I can't call mine Carras, he's Indy.
I try to think of something that sounds good when your screaming it...lol

Mine like to run,
we have a lot of country to run in, they think they own it all.
Many times I have to go out and call them home, you can lose your voice..lol
At least they stay within my territory and don't go beyond shouting distance.
A neighbor moved in and built across the road, the dogs think he's trespassing ....lol
