Yes
If Indy and Ike were in my Club they would be strong competition for Izzy i think, both Pups are going on nicely
We went back to training last night for the first time in 3 months lay off, Goran was good overall, but moved on the down three times just settled himself but not good enough but must stop him right away if he does it Thursday evening, Izzy , It was her first ever time on this training field she was good, She went through a Group of people for the first time and took no notice of them at all which was great just looked at them as we did a figure of 8
Her footing was fairly good first time and i sat her in front of the 7ft high A Frame and said UP she flew over without hesitation that was good only one way though, So yes i was pleased with her The Guys commented on her only having seen her some 3 months earlier Her breeder was training his Dog for the Provincial Championship at another Club so has not seen her for 3 months now but will on Thursday when we meet at the other club house

I think we need more Izzy pictures! I bet the dogs were happy to be back to working. These working dogs - their eyes just light up when they see the training field. Even puppy Ike is like that. He's just gets more focused, more intense when he is out there - even though he is teething right now so during protection he is just tied to a nearby fence and watches the big dogs work from there. He treats the watching very seriously - as though it was an important job! Silly boy ...

I will give Izzy a couple of weeks on protection then i will make a video of her working, I do not know what they will do with her first time meaning large Tug, soft sleeve or what i will leave that bit to the Breeder to decide he knows best,
but whatever tool they use she will be up for it, I have just bought her a new Harness, I bought one and i used it only two times and since the layoff she has out grown it, This one will see her to she stops growing i have it on the first adjustment ready for Thursday with Luck, I prefer a harness to a leather collar on protection for training i think it best for a Puppy not to restrict the breathing and pressure on the neck as she will be pulling like mad to get at the handler

Steve, you and Jason both know that Izzy Bitch and Ike pics/stories are ALWAYS welcome on my threads! Glad to hear that Izzy is back to training and that Goran is doing so well for having been out for awhile. He will remember quickly enough his training.... I am willing to bet it was more of a TEST than him "forgetting" that down means DOWN and stay there ;-)
I sent these pictures to the breeder and he told me if I ever want to get rid of her, I have his number.
I offered to send her back to get her SchH I and told him that he can breed her after that and keep the whole litter then send her back to me LOL I am SO nervous about making any mistakes training her LOL

Oh, you'll miss her too much! Besides, you'll miss out on all the fun of training a great pup (well, maybe with the exception of waking up at 5:30am to track. I don't care how good a tracker the pup. That is never fun LOL)

It was funny after i had done the bit of work with Izzy on Tuesday i was asked again if i would sell her, I said i would rather sell an arm than part with her so there is no point in asking again but thank you for the compliment of doing so, Anyway i know Rinus would take her back in a heart beat
But i have to train and do everything myself with her, for i would not feel it complete if someone did it for me
The point of all this training is this in my way of thinking
You only have three choices a 8 week old Pup to start with basic, then of course we do not know how its joints are that is hit and miss until tested , then we can only see in a Pup what we see and hope it will be all you hope for, Then it is down to the owner to first Bond then see how things work out so many pitfalls and disappointments
Second we have a young dog but one that has done nothing perhaps sit etc, if it is 18 months old etc at least we can know before purchase that its joints are okay, Then you have to again bond and start work but it is an advancement to the Pup
Then of course you buy the finished article if you can get one
But for me i would never be happy with the second two, plus the fact that a Puppy is the cheaper option of the three but does have the most pitfalls but then we all know that, It is the Excitement of knowing how it will turn out that is so interesting to me
I have to do it from Scratch a Puppy only then will i know myself if i have scored or failed, If you can bring up the Pup to a high standard of Sch3 etc and go even further then the owner can be proud of there Dog and themselves
As some of the top Guys told me over here when i moved to Belgium No matter how good a trainer is not every dog will take to them or the way they train, So if you hit it off with Indi right in the beginning and this applies to Jason with Ike and myself with Izzy there is no reason why they cannot do very well in the sport, No matter what you do in any subject there is always someone better but i never think about it that way for it does not apply
Although many want to get there hands on Izzy, it means nothing, Okay they may or may not be better at training than i am, But it is me who has her and she knows the boundaries between us meaning how far she can get for every dog will try it on at some stage just to test you out,
We get on well so for me i am the one to get the best from her Plus if i make mistakes which i will for sure, then i have the experience of others to call on to put me right, We will see what has happened in 12 months time
In the meantime i am watching her as she is growing, her first season will soon be here i expect in the next few months hopefully it will not be too soon yet so we can get some work done i miss it and i think she does too
At the moment this morning i could not stand up on the road or paths they are like a sheet of glass we had sleet and snow when it was freezing then in the night it turned to rain and was still freezing hard it is not possible to walk safe so the dogs have to stay in this morning hopefully it will clear so we can train tonight, The Belgians never treat the side or country roads in the winter only the main roads ans as we live in the side roads it is not even possible to walk out on them this morning even without a dog
