I do not treat Cocci I use albon to prevent it in the young puppies when they get to that nasty age...My vet recommends to keep it as It can also be used in PG bitches for diahrea when other meds cannot....I like it and it works Excellent for me...I sent a few ounces home with all pups because you never know where the little cocci is hiding...Have never had to treat for it...I use it to PREVENT IT....
iT IS A SULFA DRUG and works well for other uses also... Albon by Merck in suspension, and Panacur, and Pyrantel Pamoate, and Ivemec , I would never be without...along with a long list of other supplies in my cabinet..
And it is easy to store, and my pups like it with no spitting it back at me..

Glad puppy turned out oK..Please do not let this stop you from shipping your great lines . Everyone has times when a change in water, food and environment puts their gut in distress...even the littlest worry can cause us Parents, husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, breeders, individuals , into a bad three or four days of the GI JOES....so be it that this one female or male got a little upset is not unusual...REMEMBER it is a pup...and it is not gonna die..In fact it probably strengthened the little creature 39 %.
One Question for YA?
Before you ship your pups, at any age,,,do you put pups in your truck or vehicle for a couple of trips to town , to the post office , to the park , not getting them out of truck or on the ground....but take them for rides in vehicle and get them use to mobile change???? I suggest you try it...FOUND IT to be very useful to get pups out \and/or / going to places in kennels to see and hear new movements and to highten their precepts of OH A WHOLE NEW WORLD and sounds ....????
