He's not my hero, especially not when he allows himself to be used as a mouthpiece/ figure head for the AR jerks.  These people are trying to eliminate ALL kennels not just puppy mills.  Cesar is doing no breeder and no purebred dog aficionado any favors by taking part in the purely bullshit  AR activist video posted on the National Geographic channel.   He doesn't even do any private training or consultations anymore, it's all about the TV show.  Oh but you can purchase video training courses and sometimes a "lucky" client might even get to have the "great man" answer a video question.  That's no way to train a dog, but I'm sure he makes a lot of money doing it, so more power to him.  I just wish he would think beyond the nose on the end of his face because this will surely come back to bite him in the ass sooner or later.

Anyway I will say no more about Cesar, the topic of the thread is too important and I apologize for moving this thread in a direction it was not intended in the first place.

Really Held?  So you are OK with all breeders, including Anne Kent being shut down?  Because that's what will happen.  ALL breeders will go,  not just the ones who supply pet shops.  I agree puppies should not be sold in pet shops, I and I can't stand those who  breed for retail pet stores, but shutting down all breeders is certainly not the answer.

Ane points up one of the reasons that WE must all become more aware, engaged and involved in local politics: monitoring local animal control: serving on government boards and committees involved with animal control and related issues; becoming involved in ad hoc task forces; giving input at local hearings; establishing relationships with other responsible dog ownership groups; acting PROACTIVELY with local council-persons and legislators; taking responsible action with respect to the puppy-millers ourselves; debunking the media "heroes," etc. btw--Milan did correct his immigration status, so that is a dead and inadvisible issue.

 Look at a couple of state dog federations.  These organizations not only fight bad laws, they promote good laws, particularly effective dangerous dog laws that punish the individual animal, not an entire breed.  These organizations need all the members they can get.  They would welcome help from the GSD world with open arms.

i said too many breeders.i did not say all breeders.There is a difference.Also i do not care about this Anne you speak of and i do not really care aboput her.I only care about the poor dogs that are being abused.If this breeder is a good breeder she will survive.Like i said too many people breeding pure bread dogs we do not need them all.
