Yes, Kim--my dogs (born in the USA and AKC registered) have their SV numbers and are included on the SV's database--including ZW scores, titles, breed surveys, hip/elbow certification, etc. The SV issues white, unofficial pedigrees that contain all the info on pink papers. If they were to go to Germany, I suppose that they would need the SV's DNA profile.

Yes, but what I am getting at is that the registration that they would look at for FCI recognition would be your AKC registrations papers, not the white SV papers for entry proof of FCI registration?
You dogs white paper SV registrations start with a 9, correct?

For dogs born in the USA, AKC registration and AKC certified pedigrees are the only ones recognized by the FCI--to the best of my knowledge--because AKC is the official GSD breed registry in the USA. The SV accepted all the AKC paperwork when one of the boys was titled in Germany.
No number 9 starting the SV registration numbers. My dogs's numbers are SZ 0014934, and 0012224, SZ 0001371. Their SV numbers, breed survey ratings, and HD ratings are all recorded by the SV on their 4-generation AKC certified pedigree. The white paper from the SV has stamped on it "Anhang zur Original-Ahnentafel".

Ok - I knew they had to be a different sequencing numbers than the regular SV registrations. The 9000 series may be just for the ausland hips and elbows. Thanks Louis!

Please search the SV's database for ZW scores: www.schaeferhunde.de/site/index.php
This is the Google translation: "Please note that this is in the digit "9" numbers beginning does not constitute SZ numbers (in the studbook of the SV registered dogs), but a registration number so that the breeding value of the dog can be displayed."
My own dogs have ZW scores starting with the digit 8.
