PETA idiots actually carried "Free the Slaves" signs during a search for a missing child. They trampled the area hoping we would not use the "enslaved" dogs to rescue just one human. This occurred a few years ago, but I don't suppose they have changed much over the years. Yes, they were arrested and publicity was kept to a minimum, somebody on PETA's side got a moment of brilliance and realized publicizing their message in the face of a missing child would not help their cause. The child was found.

TWO Moons,
What's to understand.. It is a know fact about how many children they are allowed to have and what they do when they find out they are past the number they are alloted for a boy/girl. Besides that point regardless if that video is real or facke. It doesn't matter. They still tortored those animals. I think somebody needs to do the same thing to them and see how they like it and maybe, it will stop. I only watched the first maybe 2 minutes of it.. When they brought out the white dog/wolf or whatever, I did't even watch it. I wish I hadn't see it at all.. Those pleading eyes, just breaks my heart. then they love to profit of americans adopting their UNWANTED BABIES. They charge a woping $30,000.00 to adopt from china. I have looked into that personally. It's a shame. But again, what comes around goes around.

Dodie,
The Chinese people have had birth quotas for many years, they have a large population and only so much to go around.
I'm not sure what current policy is. I think your misinformed about their culture in many ways.
Some cultures do slaughter animals for food that we consider pets. Doesn't make them evil.
I have watched those videos, there are several, you don't know who THOSE people are.
And they (these videos) are circulated by animal rights fanatics as propaganda.
I have a feeling you could not bear the sight of any animal being slaughtered.
We used electricity in the old days to kill ranch raised Fox and Mink.
Adoption in many countries including our own (USA) is shameful and the children suffer.
This breaks my heart more than any animal video.
Don't believe everything you see on the Internet, and have a little tolerance for different cultures.
That being said, I am no fan of the Chinese government or their policies, but don't blame the Chinese people, they are not free to have a choice.

Moons,
You are right about not being able to watch any animal being slautered. I do eat meat, I just don't want to know how it's done. It's just the one video that was posted, I thought was senseless. I mean really to pick them up and slam them down and stomp on their heads and skin them alive? If they want them for their fur why not kill them more humanely? I am a big fan of aminal cops as well on Animal Planet. I think they do a wonderful job in rescuing the people who abuse and neglect their animals. They don't have a voice and need help. It just does not make sense to me. I have many animals and they are treated like my children. They are very well taken care of. My dog is not a lawn oraniment and sleeps inside where it is nice and warm, away from rain and all other elements. She is very pampered. So, it makes me angry when I see videos like that. I guess the best thing for me is not to watch stuff like that any more.... hugh?

As painful as it is to watch, you can't hide from it.
Yes people abuse animals and should be held accountable. People abuse each other, its sad some of the things that go on in our world.
But if you are to fight, you must be informed, and that requires watching.
I suspect the animal was slaughtered for meat and not fur.
Its an old time method of making meat more tender believe it or not.
No one should have to watch if they don't want too.

I will never donate to PETA but the idea that animals might be being skinned alive is horrifying. I need to be more careful about not buying anything from China.

by Two Moons on 09 December 2009 - 06:12
I agree,
I'm tired of having to buy Chinese junk.
I don't mind paying a higher price for real quality goods.
This country (USA) can't compete with China's cheap labor, but we can damned sure beat their quality if you can still find something actually made in America.
As far as skinning live animals, that was just a stunt.
There is no logical reason to do it, and many reasons not to try.

These type of people and these countries that do this type of thing are just stick bastards, they make me stick to my stomach.
Its really unbelieveable that they are still getting away with it.

Amen Jackie, But what comes around goes around. They will pay one day in some shap or form. I think somebody needs to go over there and do it to some of them. Let's see how they like it.

See, that's the problem I see, folks...Who are we to tell them their ways are wrong? They've done what they do since far before Western civilization was really all that civilized. They still see animals as simply a source of food, warmth, or whatever. It's not our way, but it is their way.
It's like the monkey brains served at the one restaurant my friend told me about. That method of killing the animal would be considered to be torture by us, but they see it as serving the food fresh. It is sick, but the best and only way we can do anything at all about what happens over there is to stop buying imported Chinese "products". Buy American or European, and shun China and the rest of them.
After all, if there's no billions of dollars pouring in to finance the great economy, then maybe they'll take stock of what's what in the world.
I think we all just need to start looking inward, closing off our borders to foreign imports and not exporting things, just keep it all here at home, until we can get our own troubles straightened out...it's foolish to worry about some person half a world away being paid by an American non-profit to torture animals so they can enjoy the flow of cash from it...
I guess what I'm saying is this: If you want to stop the torture of animals like that video depicts, BOYCOTT PETA AND HSUS. They are the reason for it!
