Snapjer69,
Who do you like to see the Lord line crossed with?

by Slamdunc on 27 October 2009 - 17:10
No, not at all. These dogs have produced outstanding dogs. Many people like the combination in their dogs pedigree. However, since these dogs have produced so many great dogs and those dogs have been used heavily for breeding you can get into a genetic bottleneck. This is what some are trying to avoid. If their dog has a heavy linebreeeding on these dogs they may be looking to outcross and bring some new bloodlines in.
I'm sure others can add a better explanation than me.

Yea I love that kennel name too. I think the story goes when Jody was thinking of a kennel name she said to someone "I'm doing this by the seat of my pants." And the name stuck.
