Steve1, Thank you for the reports and insights. :-) I am still exciting by a woman, and the lone Israeli team maber at that, winning. I realize she was under the radar for a while, but what were your observations of Sam and his performance?

You know Ceddy you think too much of yourself as a expert and indeed to say what other peoples expectations are regarding the WUSV
I have no grouch about the result other than what i saw with my own eyes this last Saturday morning i said that in my post above if you read it correctly, and when i say something it is said as true i never say things and mean something else that is for certain,
And if i am wrong in what i saw then 100.s of others were wrong with me, So all the Spectators were wrong in there assumption that the Helper was at fault not only in this case but of several other dogs as well, as i said above you the world wide travelling globetrotter to see these events must have been there to see it and you then would have been one in the minority who agreed that the helper was faultless Your opinion not of the majority watching he was not up to the mark
Now who said that since Ronny got into the team he has been favorite to win it is the first time i have heard of that, Certainly it has not come from me or anyone who i know living in Belgium so where you got that from i do not know
Where you my friend are mistaken is this, We over here value the team performance most of all The Guys are working as a team if one wins the individual title then great,
but it is TEAM performance which counts above all else. Otherwise the whole Belgian team would not have spent countless hours training together and having meetings since the trials ended and the Belgian team was known
and i am very proud of there performance all 5 entrants i think in the first 43 places at least they were when i last looked that is very good going from a country that is no bigger than a postage stamp in one of your states over in the USA
One final thing if you consider my post as an attack on you then God help you if there is one for if someone really does,  for mine post was just a reply to you, but then whatever its words and they overall cannot hurt do any damage in such a posting as this

Congrats to Sharon and Sam for their superb performance!

Thank you very much Steve for your interesting comments about the WUSV. I enjoyed reading your first hand-information.

A Friend from my Facebook-group has put a video of Ronny and Como’s Schutzdienst-routine on the Internet. People with Facebook-memberships can view it, I can offer the link here, and hope it works:

What a shame this happened at the most important GSD-event of the year.
Would you know Steve how their score would have been, without this happening? Or in other words, how many points were lost in your opinion with this bad manoeuvre?

Enjoy it!

Steve1,
Once again Steve you read what you want to read. Believe it or not there i a world outside of Belguim. I never claimed to be nor will i ever consider myself an expert. The expectations i spoke of were not from anyone in belguim but from my friends and contacts around the Rest of the world. Anyways Last but not least i never commented on what happen with the dog in protection but I will now. Lets say you're right it was all on the helper. Did you listen to the critique? how many points did he lose for that? 8?Did they change helpers during the trial? did all the other people get different helpers? simply put Como did very well to get 7th place. just not enough to win. Again read what you choose to read from this.

The dog that got 100 in protection got the same initial grip as Como! What I liked about Como was he regripped! With that said.....better day for another dog..plain and simple....Glad to see a new winner! Obviously, she and her dog worked hard!

Ceddy
You are obsessed with thinking you are being attacked because i do not agree with you, you must be a really bothered person by words i find that amusing, You can call me what you like in words i will not feel i am being attacked by you or anyone else they are words nothing else, so cut out this attack crap, its a reply the same as you are doing
No Como did not lose 8 points for the escape as i said he did not come straight out first recall in the hide but did a second time so i guess he was docked points there or should have been,
Normally he has not made any mistakes of that kind in his two trials going to the championship he scored 281 and 283 his protection is on average around 96
The way you are thinking is that i think Como was hard done by and to a point he was But then so were other Dogs as well with the same Helper, It was as it was but No,  the Helper was not changed for the rest of that session nor would he be if he was afterwards i do not know,i watched another session of Obed then had to head off home unfortuanely but to my opinion Yes the Helper should have been changed but i do not think he would be
The Crowd were not happy with him so that means 1000,s of us read it wrongly We all need to go back to the classroom
Anyway no point in carrying on with this it will go no where in the end, I expect to see him in action in two weks time at the Belgian Championships his daddy won that 4 times as well as the WUSV twice so we will see if he can follow in his footsteps, In the meantime i have his daughter to see if she can make the grade, Who knows you may go to one WUSV to see a Dog competing and a Guy with a Zimmer frame as the Handler that will be me, so if it happens and you are there put your hand up so i know you are watching

Does it matter which dog placed 1 or 100? Personnaly I´m more intressted in the dogs performance and attitude than the points, como seems nice, very correct in work but not maybe a dog I think WOW when watching like some others, but I´m only seen him twice on film.

by ceddyg on 12 October 2009 - 18:10

Steve,
You are correct in this is pointless. As i said before and ill say it again. i hope to just get to wusv to get his score. i hope to nice bitch out of him in the near future as well. I hope to be there and cheer you and the others alike well at the world.. see yall in 2010.....

What is a "Zimmer frame"?

steve1

by steve1 on 12 October 2009 - 21:10

Mystere
You made me laugh with your query, A Zimmer Frame is a aid made of aluminum you hold it on top like bicycle handle bars it has uprights to the ground Old People use them as an aid to balance themselves or if they have been ill it helps them get to walk again
What i meant was when i said that to Ceddy was i will be that old if Izzy ever gets to the WUSV, that i will need a Zimmer Frame to hold me up but if needs be that is what i will use
