You also call 'em without ever seeing 'em at all. A surprising practice from someone with so much experience. I'll give you props for using your real name on this board, though.
I always use my name. The times I didn't on the defunct Chicagoland Board was when I was "messing" with a particular individual that I don't have a lot of respect for. Most of the little aliases that I used had some type of comedic connection with the subject matter. My way of having fun, sorry if my dry sense of humor doesn't appeal to you. Please refresh my memory on the "calling them without ever seeing them"??? Been hit on my huge cranium on more than one occasion and the memory 'aint what it used to be. Why is it you seem to know, or want to know so much about me and my opinions? I don't believe we have ever met which tells me that you haven't seen any of my animals either. You're more than welcome to come on by and work them if I think you're qualified, I know you're not that far.
We all fantasize our dogs biting the bad guy for real and i can tell you that this dog would bite for real.
And Phil , full mouth or not i assure you if this dog bit you without any padding you would cry like a girl.
That i know for sure.have a nice one.
Sorry, my money's on Taureau. Would you like the list of guys who don't want to work him,,,,,even with a suit?? And, at last count, I've been bit close to 70 x's, one including 167 facial stitches and 5 1/2 hours of plastic surgery and as of yet,,,,,no crying. 5 knee surgeries, 1 total hip replacement, 1 shoulder reconstruction and 1 pretty major heart attack where I walked into the ambulance one day after it happened, and yet,,,,,,,,,,,,no crying. Thanks for the concern. BTW, I'd rather not put my canine friends in a position where they have to protect me, besides the fact that I can protect myself and I'm a really good shot. You have an even nicer one.
Sorry everyone, once again another thread has gone array. The original post was an advertisement for a new import and it's one exercise prowess. Bottom line, I vote no thanks, I was not impressed. Just a reminder, this is the General Topic Messageboard, if you wanted to impress the GSD sympathizers with speed and power, maybe click on the GSD Only Forum.
Yah, nice dog, seen better...
Pack
Yes we have all seen better. The world has yet to see a dog that every one can say wow now this is it. No such thing, will never happen. have a nice one.
I have an appreciation & a great deal of respect for any dog/handler/trainer out working and competing with their dogs (regardless of breed or venue). I think the dog in the original video looks like a very intense hard dog I also liked the story Phil told about his Mal. I don't know any of you but it sounds like some of you guys have other issues with each other beyond what you like and dislike about each others programs. Fine, agree to disagree and get on with life.......... back to the dogs.
So I have sport specific question, that comes to mind after watching that video. What is the life expectancy of KNPV dogs and decoys or rather what is the ratio of washed out/severely injured dogs or decoys? Not only in the metal aspect but the physical as well. I mean my god you might as well duct tape a pillow to brick wall and send your dog on it. Is that standard KNPV style to have no shock absorption during the catch?
Hard core but ouch for the dog & decoy
and o/t what happened to the Chicagoland Board? I would check that one from time to time......
dAWg, that IS standard KNPV. No sissy dogs here. If a dog doesn't structurally or mentally stand up, it simply doesn't get bred. That is how they weed out the crappers. The dogs have to have alot of drive and heart tp keep doing it time and again, especially with that enthusiasm.
