I was told by some friends who have these dogs that the Slovakian Breeding program is more succesful..
Supposely The breed was banned for its inconsistencies and Slovakia kinda took over.
I really did not know that they are registered as a Slovak wolfdog, that blows!

My own experience with a wolf hybrid was 20 years ago and I spent lots of time with an wolf researcher who specialized in the then popular mix of Alaskan Malamute with wolf. He happened to know the breeder of my Samson (a rescue from my room mate who didn't want him anymore). He was 75% wolf. From my understanding from my friend, the more wolf there is, the better as long as the owner has a clue (at the time, I didn't, hence the researcher for advice). Samson was one of the best "dogs" I ever had but he was absolutely not your average dog. He was very different from any dog I have had to this day. I had a trying time with him until I got the hang of what was required of me to work with him. He was a great companion, my room mate hated him. Unfortunately, I came home from classes one day to find she had taken him in to animal control to be euthanized for "biting her", she later admitted she lied to get them to put him down. The rest of the story is for another time. Suffice it to say, Samson taught me a lot about canines and myself.

To GSDPACK. Yeah more successful.LOL. Sounds good though. I have talked to my partner Jiri in Czech and he just smirked and said not true. It is a sore spot there. Karel Hartl in Czech and Mr Rosik in Slovakia.
