Glad too hear you clarify, Moons, I'm up for anything legal. The ideas of what you have to do for good smokes in Gitmo or any federal pen ain't for me. Both parties need a enema.

Maggiemae,
You wanna throw rocks at a freight train.
Any better ideas out there?

P.S.

I'll trade the oil for a tree any day of the week.
We need lots of changes in the way we live, we've let it go so long that now it will be painful.
You might have to make a few sacrifices everyone.

Maggiemae, I'm talking multi country corporations not mom and pops. Just where are the jobs major corporation have created? Where ? You want to know where you ignorant right wing nut. China,Mexico,India,Canada and any 3rd world shit-hole where you can work people be it small children 20 hours a day for next to nothing. Name one major company in this Country that has more workers here in the US today than 20 years ago. Walmart and Starbucks, two companies that pay a little more than minimum wage to 99% of their workforce.

If jobs are going to be created it will be from electric cars, solar, wind and new tech not oil.

As for as oil you ignorant right wing nut, Even if we drilled every drop this nation has it won't last long. We have less than 3% of known reserves and we use 25% of all the oil produced. India and China are growing economic powers and they well push the demand and cost up. Higher than what created this economic crisis in the first place.  if we don't stop or the petroleum addiction soon  oil at 150 dollars a barrel will be cheap.

Hi MickyD:  I think it would have been better if the President had refrained from commenting on the incident and furthermore  I absolutely do not think the officer displayed  racism in any way whatsoever.

From everything I have read, comparing the officers statement and Gates statements,  I think the  truth of what actually  happened lies somewhere in the middle.  Gates acted like a confrontational ass, so the officer "one upped" him and arrested him for disorderly conduct, charges that were dropped.

I think the incident was  about two pissed off guys, BOTH of whom allowed their emotions to get the best of them, nothing to do with rascism at all.

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/mood_of_america/right_direction_or_wrong_track

Just 31% of likely voters now believe the United States is heading in the right direction, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Down one point over the past week, it’s the lowest level found on the question since mid-February.

Sixty-three percent (63%) of voters say the country is moving down the wrong track, up a point from last week and the highest finding since the second week in February. This finding is back to the same level it held the week in January that Barack Obama became president.

The percentage of voters who believe the country is moving in the right direction spiked at 40% in early May, hovered around 37% through June and now has been in the low- to mid-30’s the past two weeks. The new finding is up nine points from the week Obama was elected president in November.
