Louise is right on

I also buy chicken at the supermarket when it's $1.49 or less a pound, I buy at least 10 packs with 4 legs & thighs in it.
The kibble dog food I feed is from the people that invented kibble dog food in America,

1 dog eats Chicken Soup for the Pet Lovers Soul @ $33 for a 35# bag
1 eats Orijen Adult @ $52 now for a 29.7# bag
1 eats California Naturals @ $40 for a 30# bag
Thats $125 for 1 bag of each. Only the CSFTPLS lasts the full month, she only eats 2 cups a day and I never suppliment the other 2 dogs with that food. Well except last month when I ran out of money, everybody got the cheap stuff. I buy Orijen for Baden and Cal Nat for Faust but I mix the 2 together sometimes so they get variety. This week they are on RAW until it runs out.
Suppliments cost me about $150 every 3 months.

Now how about vet costs?
Last year I spent $4,000 plus but that included a lot of OFA's, heartworm and Frontline meds, and litter costs and I have a diabetic dog that costs for insulin and special diet.
