At least $ 500.00 a month for 10 dogs, not including extra's like the raw bag of frozen hearts livers & necks grizzle beef parts and parts of chickens & turkeys from the farm down the road fresh at $ 3.99 a pound, and I get at least 4  ten pound bags a month.

Louise is right on no problems, only a yearly booster shot (Don't over vaccinate), rabie shot, and heart worm meds, I use interceptor!

I also buy chicken at the supermarket when it's  $1.49 or less a pound, I buy at least 10 packs with 4 legs & thighs in it.

The kibble dog food I feed is from the people that invented kibble dog food in America,

$150-$200 a month for 3 dogs. Depends on what bags I buy and if or how much RAW I feed. That doesn't count suppliments, oils or training treats.

1 dog eats Chicken Soup for the Pet Lovers Soul @ $33 for a 35# bag
1 eats Orijen Adult @ $52 now for a 29.7# bag
1 eats California Naturals @ $40 for a 30# bag

Thats $125 for 1 bag of each. Only the CSFTPLS lasts the full month, she only eats 2 cups a day and I never suppliment the other 2 dogs with that food. Well except last month when I ran out of money, everybody got the cheap stuff. I buy Orijen for Baden and Cal Nat for Faust but I mix the 2 together sometimes so they get variety. This week they are on RAW until it runs out.

Suppliments cost me about $150 every 3 months.

I feed raw, mostly chicken leg qtrs, 80/20 chop meat by the 80 lb case, I also add minced vegetables and organ meat.  My male eats 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 lbs per day.   My 10 year old female GSD eats about 1 1/2 lbs per day.  It costs about $120 to 150 per month.  The PD covers about $60 per month for my male (police dog), which definitely helps.

I just went shopping today  and picked up all the meats/bones, fruits, veggies and oils. It was 60.00 + this time . This will last me about 7-8 days feeding 2 adult dogs and 1 puppy.

I'm with Mystere!  I don't want to know what I'm spending.  If I knew I might have to give up my dog.  Ignorance is bliss in this case.  Things just keep getting higher and higher.  I still have some wiggle room though.  I'll give up a lot before I give up my dog.

$400-$500  which includes kibble, raw, eggs, goat milk, supplements, treats.  9 gsd plus 3-4 litters lately.

Now how about vet costs?

Last year I spent $4,000 plus  but that included a lot of OFA's, heartworm and Frontline meds, and litter costs and I have a diabetic dog that costs for insulin and special diet.

$75 per month per dog - when I don't overdo training treats.  Hot dogs are the most economical food/treat I feed!
