Kalibeck

She's a very pretty girl, I do hope you do some schutzhund with her. Show them what a nice dog can do, despite the pedigree! She is not extreme in any way, except for her drive, so she should have what it takes. And don't let anyone turn you away, because of her pedigree. I listened to some folks say some very hurtful things about my very nice bitch, because she is 1/8 American Showlines, & 7/8 German Highlines. If I had stuck to my guns, I'm sure she could have been titled, but after listening to the badmouthing, I was too embarrassed to bring her back. Don't let anyone do that to you! She's a lovely lady, you should be proud of her! jackie harris

Your girl & my bitch share a lot of ancesters, a few American ones & a few German Highlines, like Fanto v Hirschel, on whom my girl is linebred. Her pedigree is not bad. So that makes me biased in her favor as well! Congratulations on a lovely bitch. jackie harris

beetree,

Small world huh?  Try going to Noblecroft German Shepherds for a current website.  The 8mo male advertised is in our obedience class.  They call him Mitch.  He makes Echo look like a runt.  I don't know who he is out of.  Since I didn't buy from the breeder, she is less than helpful.  She was more than a little unhappy that the guy she sold to put her kennel name in their registered names. She is an odd bird.  You are right about the compliments.  Her coat is so shiny and so far we haven't run into anyone else whose GSD is marked like Echo so we get a lot of comments on how striking she is.  We took the picture on a cloudy day but you can see her shine in my avatar.  I would like to see a current photo of your boy.  Something to look forward to since they do resemble each other.

GSDtravels,

Thanks for the kind words and encouragement.  She gives me a run for my money the moment I wake up!  I have so enjoyed you taking us on vacation with you.  The pictures have been beautiful.

Jackie,

Again!  Small world!  Guess we need to start calling each other cousin along with beetree. Air Capital Schutzhund Club has fantastic members.  It is a small but dedicated club.  Everyone there is very positive and encourages us to participate.  They have even offered to train Echo due to my surgery and long recovery time but I prefer to do this myself.  No one there makes snide remarks or badmouths other people's dogs.  Most of them have German lines and one member thought he was getting a quality German line dog only to find out it came from a puppy mill.  Doesn't matter to the club members, all are welcome.  We have some titled dogs and then we have beginners like us.  I really enjoy going to the training even though we are having to sit it out for now.  Echo gets very excited when she sees the big dogs charging across the field and getting that sleeve.  Since last Saturday she has started barking when she hears something odd outside or if she sees someone she doesn't know.  I think she picked this up from watching the training as she began it as soon as we got home.  I hate it that you let the jerks run you off but I understand.  If I get serious about this and she has what it takes, it will be sweet vindication.  I'm the only thing holding her back!!  Oh, and about that puppymill, the member brought in the FBI and got it closed down!  Got his money back too as the pup was so sick it almost died.  He spent a few thousand dollars to save Samson rather than put him down as the Vet suggested.  Not sure it was parvo, but they went thru hell.

Thanks all for the kind words and encouragement!
Deb

My girl is still my sweet pet, & I have a big male that's going to get titled some day soon! (when I'm up & around again-I had a right total knee) But we may just rock their world with the little females we have too, & that would be sweet! jackie harris
