Sad as it makes me to have to admit it...

I have resigned myself to a Mal winning #1. Looking at that line-up and having seen some, if not most, at the AWMA National Championship, I truly despair of a gsd winning the competition. The Mals have fielded teams that were far superior to the teams fielded for the WUSV Championship last fall.

The problem is that not all the top GSD handlers need this trial. Some are eligible without it. I Kinda get the same feeling about the GSD Championship. There seems to be a lack of good Malinois there.

correct me if im wrong, but isnt the AWDF more for making the FCI championship? most gsd folk are more concerned with making the WUSV team. I could be wrong, but that how i see it.

Actually it would count in USA toward either. It is a national event.

I'm not gonna go into that whole qualification stuff thats on the website

Still 88 entries is a lot of entries. Should be great to go see! I hope that the flights are posted on the website. And 10 FH entries. That's a lot of tracking fields!

My observation has nothing to do with who needs this event. I was referencing what I saw at the AWMA Nationals last September compared to what I saw at the WUSV Championship mere weeks later.

How they found tracking for that many dogs around here is a mystery to me! I do know that the organizers, Jim in particular, have been working very hard on this event for a long time. Kudos to them for bringing such a huge event together!

So... How many of ya'll will be attending?
Steve Miller and his helper will be arriving late tonight, practicing here tomorrow.
Can't wait to see what they brung ta the trial. LOL I know Steve is entered with a female.
I also know that if HE bothers to enter, she cain't be no kinda slouch!

I think he'd look great with my Ali at his side in a year or so.
Doubtless WAY better than she'd look with me.
