Two Moons

Beetree,
This is not related to anything ugly does did or said.
Much has been deleted, but thats not what this was about.
The thread is about someone saying the Most knowledgeable people are curiously silent and don't lower thamselves to participate on the message board.
Like those who do post good information are some how less.
Quite arrogant don't you think?
There are many here with great knowledge and experience who do participate.

Slamdunc,
You said I suported the views and beliefs of ugly dog.
I do take offense at that statement.
I may not agree with many here but I have always suported their right to an opinion.
For the record I think some people are sick, they were born that way or someone has poisoned them in to being the way they are.
I think they have the right to exsist.
Just don't put me in the same category.
Don't slam me, I won't slam you.
We respect each other.

Moons why are the knowledged not responding ?? I wonder  if they may have become moderaters also ?????????

by beetree on 06 April 2009 - 18:04

Ohhh, I see, said the blind man!

Yes, you mean like how one drop of a pet GSD poster can ruin a barrel of "Most Knowledgeable" GSD posters, to the point the whole board is ruined for them, so they won't play anymore? Well, usually when kids act bratty, i tell them to go to their rooms and not come out and play unless they can be nice to everyone. They usually come out when they realize the world keeps on turning without them.

Now I have absolutely NO idea who you are specifically referring to, and I don't really care anymore! I'm just going to shut up and be happy the rest of the day. Thanks all, who've wished me a happy day!

And Moons----get over it! It's a dog board, what's the BFD? People will post, or not, as their whims dictate! I long ago gave up asking people to behave themselves & represent....So they earned a moderator. Go figure. So what? jh

Exactly right, Jackie!

I became a moderator on a nursing website that was totally out of control. Perfectly innocent threads would head straight into the gutter, just like often happens here. If anyone objected, the 'mob' (a group of posters who were constantly and loudly demanding their 'right' to 'freedom of speech') would mercilessly attack them.

We banned a lot of people, and there was a temporary drop in memberships, but eventually, the board got cleaned up, and is now by far the largest of its kind on the web.

So, hang on folks, read the TOS so you know what's expected of you, and just relax. Let's give this new situation a chance to work. Let's not automatically assume the moderator is biased, and will favour certain kennels or people over others.

I strongly believe this board will be a far better place with some moderation.

The first time I visited here, I was driven away by all the bitching, fighting and backstabbing. The board certainly wasn't hurt by me leaving, but I'm sure there's a lot of very knowledgeable people out there who have also been driven away. My hope is they will come back now that the board is being moderated more strictly.

Wuzzup,
This individual seemed to think that those who really are experts don't bother posting to the peasants down below.
From up on high they watch us judging us to be inferior.
We are entertainment for the gods it would seem and they are to afraid to come amoungst us for fear of being touched and soiled.
Its just too high handed for me to swallow.
Plenty of people here are knowledgeable and helpful and don't hide in fear of mixing with the commons.
I don't care if people like that post or not,  but some folks seem to think they are missing something.
The better people will post when the people who are less go away.
I dissagree.

Just saying.

I do not consider myself overly knowledgeable, I am learning about our beloved breed, learning about life, learning about people all the time! Just when I think nothing can surprise me, something does! I miss the folks that used to post here, as I miss many in my life that have moved on. I don't think it's arrogance, I think that life is very hard right now, & a lot of folks just don't have time. Maybe some are burying their 'assets', but I'll bet many are just trying to get by. High priced dogs are simply not a necessity in this economy, & as we all know, good dogs are very expensive to produce. Many I know have had to take on 2nd jobs to get by, & you really have to be an excellent employee these days, to keep your job. So, no hijinks on the 'puter when no-ones looking, 'cause they'll fire you if they catch you! I don't think folks are avoiding us, lighten up, Moons! You used to be a happier guy. How are your pups doing ing their new homes? jackie harris
