Call me ignorant, ive stopped caring! This pup is disgusting, the owner shoudl take right desicion and neuter him(so he cant pass on his excessive rear angulation) just like i spayed my showline bitch! KcZaja, believe me, ive seen pups like this one move and the movement is terrible. Sorry if my statement offends you.
None of us have the perfect dog, but we could atleast TRY to rid the sholwine of excessive rear angulation and abnormal toplines.
Call me ignorant, i dont care!
Im off, have a nice day folks!

Why did you have your bitch spayed? It couldn't have been because of her excessive rear angulation, as I recall she is rather lacking in that department. You also said that she had over the top drives ( a WL in a SL body you said.) So what was the reason, I can't recall. Was it that she just wasn't show potential? You are now looking for a WL, but if your bitch has"over the top" drives, why dont you put them to good use and work her, instead of getting a WL.?? Just curious, that's all.

The pup in that pic, yes the stance in horrid, but it is definitely too angulated and roached backed to begin with. Stacking is to show the angulation.
My first and best dog ever, was a showline, he had a confident dominant temperment, nothing fazed him, and he is what I condsider a GSD very close to what Max was envisioning.
His Great Grandfather on the dam's side was Uran vom Wildsteiger Land and Fanto, and on the fathersside (who is actually American Showline (gasp!) were dogs such as Nike Clayfield Andretti and Darby Dan's Just Follow Me.
SO I am not anti-showline, but I am anti extreme angulation and roached backs, and whatever the next fad may be at the GSD's expense!
These are some pictures of my showline. He is now gone but greatly missed.
