You use it to make pumpkin pies...Also there is a canned Pumpkin Mix by Libby...that is not NOt WHAT YOU WANT.
you want just PUMPKIN small can...after you open it...go ahead and use it up..if dog is constipated use for three days..they if any left just add some sugar, 1 egg, canned milk and cinnamon and ginger and tiny bit of clove powder..Pour in a tiny baking dish....bake for 35 minutes and cool and eat....dont need a crust at all..
When you feed raw meats , adding pumpkin every so often is a great way for fiber into the diet.. Just put a tablespoon a day...not a big amount.

YR, thanks for the suggestions and recipe. I had no idea on this one. My male has IBD so I am way too familiar with pumpkin (not mix) and have a good supply on hand...didn't realize it worked for constipation too. I'm still making her drink Pedialyte too and that's not going well.
Rezkat5, yes, that's what happened. My male is huge and drinks A LOT so I thought I was just having to fill up their water container more for him....didn't realize it was Heidi drinking it all. I don't what made her pee in the house and it was like she couldn't control it and was all embarrassed about it.
Wuzzup, I pulled my dogs of basically every commerially available food and treat. What was going on with the chicken jerky treats?

any jerky product is usually made in China or Mexico..They have nitrates and nitrites...read your labels.....anything God doesnt make doesnt belong in the body of your dog...
Could be anything but chicken coming from the crooked countries we have dealt with in the past..
if you want something tough for your dog to chew on...put some chicken quarters on the Bbq pit with a bit of italian dressing ..let them cook and then put on top shelf ...turn heat to minimun...after a long time debone the chicken and put back on top shelf...turn off the barbq pit and let stay in there for a few hours....take out and they will be only good for the dog..but dogs will love them....no nitrates and no preservatives...divide into a baggie and use for treats. It is called drying out the chicken....makes it easy for you to divide and use for their pleasure not yours...who can chew dried out chicken???? The dog..
