I read that Vito vom Waldwinkle passed away due to bloat.

Mystere is right...you cannot compare somebody to Troll/Fero, who have a lifetime legacy that you are using to justify using them, to current dogs that DON'T have the time or numbers or results of the numbers to make a comparison. So you really have to use recently deceased dogs(past 2 to 8 years) that you have a fair idea what their contribution consisted of, in its entirety, and then start making comparisons to answer your initial question...JMO

Yes,I also heard Vito died earlier this month. He made a lot of nice breedings and there is uniformity to his progeny with different bitch types. He passed bidability, high food drive and social aggression.Very balanced.

I have a 3 yr old male from him and he is a very good dog-very strong in all 3 phases of schutzhund and full of character.
Also have a 4month old female pup from Vito and a different dam,she has excellent food and prey drives.I am very glad to have gotten her now that Vito is gone.

I hope that others that have dogs out of Vito will say what they observed of his pups.

why do you wante to relive the past glory????

Because some people learn from the past, while others chose not to!

Why can't we find the %'s of titled dogs from all breeding between the 2 or just cut #'s out entirely and base it on work ethic of of pups produced period?

Past NOT= future if there is any dog or dog bloodlne which takes the legendary mantle it is Nick Vom Heilegenbosch

As for the stud dog that contributes what I like to see,I would have to say:
1.Olex de Valsory
2.Norbo Ben-Ju

A dog that I like , but he is young is Amon Vom Patriot. I think in a couple of years he is going to be well known.
