Thanks everone for the advice, it is really helpful.
Rezkat5, you metioned the topical doodwinol ointment and i'll try to find some of that, but would you also recommend invermectin as he has quite a bit of fur loss on his legs and the sides?
Yellowrose, I feed him a raw diet but don't include any vegetables or supplements, should I? You said to add fish oil, would cod liver oil be ok? And is there any other supplement I should give to boost his immune system?
Dog1, you said that the anti-biotics and dip will only worsen it (which is actually what I have seen this last week) but what do you recommend giving instead, is there a 'natural' way of curing this?
And to others that asked; yes the vet did do a skin scrape and I believe that the anti-biotics were given because he has some scabs around his stomach where most of the fur loss has occured.
Once again, thank you all very much for the advice and sorry for all the questions; it is just really sad to see him in such bad condition.

1.No biggie a whole bunch of the german high drive working dog lines have a binge of the demodectic mange.(quote by Yellowrose)
2.Yellowrose,would you care to share what working lines in particular you feel carry or always seem to have a problem with this issue of Mange?? (Krieger's Quote!!)
3.After the threatening manner in which a question was asked "Yellowrose, would you care to share what working lines in particular you feel carry or always seem to have a problem with this issue of Mange??" (Pharaoh's Quote)
Pharaoh here is my post where you insinuate I asked a threatening question. Please point out the threat!!
I will have you know that I have communicated with Yellowrose several times via e-mail in the past and I was always cordial and respectful. On the contrary Yellowrose was not only an asset to me but also very helpful in my time of need.
I stand by my question for it is a valid one.Being that I am 4 years young in this breed specifically working lines I feel it is my duty to educate myself any way that I can mainly when it involves the type of dog that I own.
I will apologize to anyone that felt offended by my primary way of learning which is to ask as many questions as I can.
I will add that threats are not only dis-respectful and designed for people that lack courage but it is also a crime, which I want NO part of!!!
