What about competing in USA Schutzhund competitions that are breed specific like AWDF competitions. I don't think I can get a USA scorebook without submitting full AKC registration papers.

NJ, you can compete in USA trials with a total mutt if you want to. If I am not mistaken you ought to be able to compete in just about any trial except the GSD Nationals without registration.
I'm sorry to hear of your situation, but I am glad that you have a good dog because that is more important that papers. I've washed out a few papered GSDs that failed to live up to their pedigrees.
On the other hand, if you are utterly disappointed by not being able to register the dog, I would be happy to take that hard hitting, high drive Max pup off your hands for cheap. LOL

Mystere, If having him "certified" as you described is possible, that would solve my problem. Thanks for you help.

Unfortunately I spoke highly of Lorenzo's Breedings. I have a female from the Max/Amanda breeding, got the papers no problem. She was very nice dog, tough in protection. Then I got a pup from the "G" litter from Max/Adrie Breeding. Once it was confirmed that Lorenzo disappeared and papers nowhere to be seen , I gave the dog to a friend. The pup "Greif v Househaus had a lot of potential, deep nose calm tracking, very focused obedience, very hard and high drive in Protection. But no papers, no chance for Nationals, away goes the dog and I move on. I now have a very nice female with good potential for national level.
Too bad this happens, I've received several e-mails from pup owners from the "G" litter Houserhaus, and they all seem to have pups with very good drives, but the same problem.....no papers.
I have a club member that got a pup from a breeder here in California and trained it from 7 weeks to SchH3. Dog is now 7 years old and she still has no papers. the breeder gave her another pup to make up for it. This pup is 13 months old and she is still waiting for the papers on that one. This same breeder now has another litter on the ground by the same bitch my friends unpapered dog is out of...I wonder if the people will get the papers one those.

Perspective, indeed. The Mal people would have a field day.
