A stamped & v rated doesn't mean she's an excellent breeding prospect,
I had a very well bred Lab that I did A I with cause she couldn't be bred the natural way,
and there I was 2 months later having an emergency c-section, the first pup was stuck,
cause of a stricture, everyone lived, the first pup had a very swollen purple face when she
came out, she ended up fine & healthy.
Have your vet make sure that she doesn't have a stricture, better to find out now rather than later.
I ended up spaying my Lab, a c-section is a big life theatening operation.
Also, that's too bad you can't talk to the previous owner, it would be very helpful to know her complete
medical history.

I do not know if she has been bred before or had a litter the person I purchased her from is not available .
Is this not something you should have resolved prior to buying her knowing that you wanted to be a breeder????
I am simply asking a question,no harm intended!!

what is a stricture? I agree that is why I am thinking twice before I do anything I am consulting the vet first thing in the am. I do not want to put her in danger, thankyou for helping..

ok , now it is not over. You must get another tie skip a day and put them back together day after tomorrow.Just relax .You are a first timer.
Are you by yourself doing this???? Hold the female by the collar now that they are tied..This is to assure she doesnt drag him all over Gods half acre...lol
Better have a chair near by 15 = 30 minutes maybe , usually 15-20 but can be longer...just relax.
