Bok,
God how I love youtube...LOL
What do you think of the parent's? It will be easier to see some of what the puppy's are about as they get bigger, closer to eight week's. Watch them separate from the males from a distance, spend some time watching. See what suits your fancy.
Is your Siamese de-clawed? just curious.
If you really aren't sure what your looking for let the breeder help you with your choice.
Mine just turned three week's and are already showing a little personality, but I will keep watching for three more week's before I decide which one is my favorite.
Good luck choosing,
Moon's.

Both parents are German imports. The mother is a little too small, and too pale for my taste. The father, on the other hand, is so awsome in every aspect. The breeder told me that in the previous litters, the pups turned out to be more like the father than the mother, especially with the males. I'm getting a female though. I understand that there's no way to predict what the pupy's color will turn out when he or she grows up. That being said, I also understand that coloration should not be a high priority in choosing a German Shepherd.
Regarding the cat, he is not de-clawed.

Its alright to consider color...
Remember what I said about the cat....LOL.

From what you posted I'd go with the gentlest, most mild-mannered puppy in the group. With three kids and not much experience with shepherds, an independent, high drive female will likely cause a lot of chaos and be hard to handle. A dominant puppy will need lots of guidance and leadership and if it isn't given, the dog would take over your family and you might have trouble there as well. Seeing the personality of the parents will often tell you how the litter will fair. It's also nice to ask how previous litters turned out. I wouldn't be concerned with coloring that much; it's much more important to get a dog with great temperament and a balanced mind. People can sometimes have a gorgeous dog who's nuts. Sometimes a dog that isn't as a much a looker (but still a nice looking one), will be the one with a terrific, happy personality and gets along well with people and other animals (which is what everyone basically wants).
I"m surprised you've already been out to see them since they're only 4 weeks old. I was told before that most breeders wait til the puppies are older, have had their vaccines and aren't as susceptible to diseases that might inadvertantly be brought in by strangers. It's great you have the opportunity to see the puppies in person though before you make your decision. Otherwise, it can sometimes be a crapshoot.

That is a lovely little bitch...I like her better than the sire, though they are both very nice. How is her personality? Good luck on your puppy. Veronica

I didn't get to interact with the dam. I saw her from a distance, as shows on my short YouTube video - www.youtube.com/watch. She was moving very fast in panic, most likely because she was separated from her puppies. The sire was very restless inside the house, but he calmed down when we took him to the front yard.

As you already know, this is my first GS. I will get her in a couple of weeks. I'm just thinking, is it better to get another puppy to grow along with it. If so, do I get a male puppy?

No, do not get a second puppy!!

I agree, no second puppy.
