Thank you Liz!  Yes, I agree - her pedigree is quite nice on both sides.  I was truly blessed the day she came into my life.  Her Red is just one little thing that I love about her.

You won't find me complaining.....  Must admit she gets compliments everwhere she goes on her superior color and beautiful temperment.

Try tomatoes... for a more natural alure! LOL

Josh (one of mine) has a real passion for veg... he loves just about everything, you'd think he'd been given a steak the way he devours it.  He bloody well ate the centre of one of my ornamental cabbages (caught him red pawed) a couple of weeks ago... now I KNOW it wasn't a hedgehog that got last years!  No sign of him going green though!

I had a bitch (Buddy's Mum) who used to pick the black currants off the bush in the garden.  First I knew of it was when I caught sight of her VERY PURPLE tongue... I thought there was something badly wrong with her for a few moments, then I found a mashed currant between her teeth! LOL

Beta carotene, found in carrots, intensifies color in tropical fish and exotic birds like parrots. Perhaps it would do the same in dogs, but it won't turn tan into red. The color has to be there to begin with and that's genetic. By the way, don't feed supplements indiscriminately since it's possible to get too much beta carotene. It can be toxic. You can't get into much trouble feeding carrots though. The animal simple stops eating when he's had enough.

Soli,

Sorry to be so blunt.

You are not going to convince me you can change or enhance the color of hair with a suppliment, vitamin, anti this or that.

You might improve the health and or look of a dog's coat but your not going to change the color of the coat.

If you could I would buy stock now and we could market this to women, that's where the real money is.

And truth be known, I just don't like salesmen, especially when it's an unbelieveable miracle this or that.   Hair grow, male enhancement, buy real estate with no money down, lose 40 pound's with this pill.  Gimmic's gadget's and snake oil.

Maybe I've seen too many tv commercial's, or maybe it's being the son of a salesman and knowing the move's, Maybe it's just that time of the month and I'm just not receptive.

Mainly I just don't believe it.

Everyone has the free will to decide for themselve's, its not up to me.

Moon's.
