Well you idea of spot on and mine are different. Certainly not terrible work but he did some things that are incorrect.  Little too much arm pumping, sleeve postition should have been a bit more back and every single dog that missed the sleeve he leveled it off and pulled it forward giving the dog a very poor target area. That is not correct work.

Most amazing...What you the only one allowed an opinion? ...Instant replay is a wonderful thing...Didn't say I could do it better not even close for that matter but that doesn't change the fact IMO what was in that video  was incorrect.

Why is it slanging words have to come into this thread like it does many more.It sure does nothing for it,

The helper in this video did a lot of things he should not have done in my opinion

The sleeve was postioned badly in several shots not giving the dog much chance and he did not postition himself at all well on several goes

I hope he was not picked to do the job at the WUSV

To put it mildy he would not have got a second try at a trial over here once people saw that performance

Keith, yes he pumped his arms as he built up his speed, but before every dog reached him, the sleeve was in the correct position...no reaching back to help the dog as it is routinely seen in other trials.   The handlers of the 105 dogs that made the bite can atest to that.  Only after the dogs missed did he level his shoulders and pull the sleeve forward.  What would you want him to do different?  The dogs that missed were due to poor positioning on the handlers part combined with the dogs underestimating the helpers speed.  The 8 that missed were positioned poorly and launched too early.  Haro Masuda's dog almost fell victim but as he was coming down, gave an unbelievable extra effort push with his rear legs to make an amazing bite.  After seeing the first two miss, we predicted the remaining 6 that missed because of where the handler positioned them. We said, "he's going to miss"...and guess what, the remaining 6 missed.

Steve, I guess we'll agree to disagree, this kid gave each dog the same exact look, same positioning, on all his escapes.  To see Zender, with my own eyes, miscalculate the escape because of this kid's speed was incredible.  It was his handler's fault for setting him up near the back of the arch.  His team captain should have picked up on it as many others did.  The kid was simply too fast from where Zender was set up for the escape.  I guarantee you that most of the dogs in the 2006 WUSV never worked on a helper that fast.  Anyways, cheers to all.

We'll agree to disagree on the positioning on the initial escape but the sleeve is to remain in the correct position until the cut-off line. Completely agree he didn't reach back for any of the dogs in the video which is correct work.

on the first shot the people was blocking the view of the bite so it is unfair to say what happened

but on at least two shots the helper had his arm very close to his side, more in keeping with a runner in a race and did not give the dogs much chance that was poor. But i agree the fellow was fast but did not control his postitioning good enough for me his arm was way too high and close to his side and as the dogs went to bite he lifted his arm a little, I am not impressed with him as a Helper at all, because if he is correct then everyone i have seen just this year about 14 different helpers are wrong. I showed it to my brother and he said the fellow needs to learn properly

It looks exciting for the viewers, but it is very important the dogs get a fair chance. and i do not thnik overall they did. but they only get the one go
