Egar Scherkl is doing amazing with B:96, C:99 !!!

Anyone know anything about this trainer or his methods? I hear he was a pupil of Helmut Raiser......

Rosso (WUSV 2007)  100 points tracking and 96 protection with new owner/handler from Italy!!!!

Is there a thrill of buying the champion of the world and doing well even though Mr. Ross did not train the dog himself? The 100 and 96 is the property of the original owner and I wold much rather hav donewhat Mr. Ronny Burmer has achieved than buy a fully trained dog and walk around a field. What is the point of diong this (really not trying to stir any troubles)

Not an issue.

To me, it shows the consistency of the dog (plus previous scores) and he is on the field at this level 8 months or less after getting the dog.  And the previous owner and handler (Pierre) is there supporting the new owner.

That is nice to see at that level.

Rosso.

I normally find that top dogs who have a new handler don't do so well in obedience.....lets hope that Rosso bucks that trend. I really like him.

Yes it is nice but there is no accomplishment. Money can buy friendship and success in this competitions

Pat, You would be surprised how many people have bought top, well, WELL trained dogs and NOT done very well with them because they proceed to screw up the training. You can go through trial results and see the scores decline. These are people who (1) cannot establish any kind of positive bond/relationship with the dog and (2) just MUST start messing with the training, to say/pretend that they *accomplished* something with the dog. Many of them will argue that their "re-training" is more difficult than the original training. Well, they *have* to say something! :-)
