GSDXephyr

I'm going to try and go over tomorrow for a couple of hours.  I got some good tugs etc. from the vendors at the last one!   I won't have a dog,  just spectating!  I know a couple of people but not many,  will probably be wandering around by myself with a dunkin donuts coffee in my hand.

I see only  a few decent tracking scores?  Anyone that was there share any light on that?  What are the conditions like?  Judge have a sharp pencil?  Thanks

Hurricane Hannah is on track to New England.  We are getting the rain right now in PA. Sadly, it won't be very good weather for a trial.

Yes, we've already got a dose of rain & wind from Hanna (I live south of Worcester, MA). More of Hanna is expected to reach up here by Sat. evening & Sunday. Bring your rain jackets...

it is surprising that Carlos Rojas, John Soares, Fabian Robinson and Ray Carlisle failed tracking. They are all professionals. The only way you can attribute that to conditions or the tracklayers are if they were  having all the ones in common.

A Malinois with top SchH3 tracking score!  Congratulations to Claudia and her Yara!  Fine result.

Apparently the tracking for the SchH1s was in a different location than the SchH2 and SchH3 tracking area?   Can anyone tell us more?   I'd hate to just go on heresay, and would rather get accurate information.

Since when do you expect accurate information on the PDB?

Tracking conditions were normal for a regional SchH3 Championship, if not better than normal. Judging was fair and consistent across all entries, whether a 1, 2 or 3. Even experienced handlers and dogs have bad days.

For obedience and protection today, slight rain for less than five minutes, hazy hot and very humid. A lot of EXCELLENT obedience and protection scores. Judging was very consistent across all levels that trialed today.

It all sounds like a fantastic trial!

The conditions were apparently fine and the judging was consistent, but  I am hearing that things were rushed at tracking and that some of the the dogs had to wait in groups in the heat and humidity before going to track?  Sounds like sour grapes to me.
