This bitch has just a much going for her as my rescue... a good dog with hips rated OFA good.

The point being a good dog with a poor pedigree is not hard to find. Neither is a black dog. So why breed your dog that has little to recommend her? Especially since your standards for a stud are as low as your standards for this bitch.

Hardly anybody breeds to my good stud dogs anyway. Hardly matters how well they produce in the long run. Everybody pretty  much uses the dog they have at hand, "fit" or no fit.

What'd my great old Marc son get in the 7+ years I had him over here? 10 breedings total? Two of them mine? And what did the rest of the breeders and would-be trainers do with the wonderful, osund, beautiful, high-drive puppies he produced?

You got it: NOTHING. The only one with a title is the one I kept and trained myself. Kinda takes the wind out of my sails when I think about it. I might as well have produced a bunch of no-pedigree bums, first thoughts for COLOR.

And good morning to you too,  last night was one of those rare all nighter's and I'm still a bit fuzzy.

I'm still smoking and main lining the coffee so I can't get into every little detail just now.   I am suprised to recieve so many PM's.

I knew this was coming, I know all the arguement's, I have my reason's and a plan believe it or not.  This isn't about improving the breed or making money so let's not crucify Ole Moon's just yet.

More coffee,

BRB.

ok, please explain then.... What other reasons are there for breeding other than IMPROVING THE BREED????? I sure don't know of any.

Rugers,

I'm sure you don't.

In the first place your not me...:)       I understand where everyone's coming from, I take no offense.

I would say paper's or no,  Midnite is a wondeful dog with many outstanding qualities.  We value our dog's in different way's you and I.

My head is splitting,  why does having fun hurt so bad the next day?

A good solid black mean's solid black, good health and OFA, I'd have to see the dog and get a feel for it's drive's and personality.  I'm not looking for a high drive or V rated dog.

uhg .

I am not by any means an expert, but I have had my share of long nights, and I found a GREESY breakfast and Ibprofin... then a nap cures all morning after problems. lol

But back to the topic..... I dont think people are questioning the stud you are looking for, but the bitch you have, and the fact that you are breeding "just to breed". I thought we were all in it to improve the breed, even if you are keeping the pups, you could have the heartache of loosing them at a young age, or costly vet bills. I loved my first GSD, and he was the world to me, but I KNEW he was faulted, and his pedigree was not "complete" , so I never bred him, he lived a long happy life without producing faulted pups. By the way, I was only 22 when I had him, and I knew better.

Rugers,

I'll survive, it's just been a long time since I had to deal with a morning after.  Don't usually party like that.  Thank's for the thought.

Back to the topic,

Midnite's only fault's are her pedigree and the idiot who raised her before I came to her rescue.  Don't judge a book by it's cover read it and see what it's about before you toss it off as crap.

I have many offer's for stud and I thank everyone who's PM'd me, I'll try to respond to all as soon as I can.

Brent.

You all, well most, post valid arguements and I respect your view's.

I'm not going to try to defend myself and argue my case.

There's much you don't know and I really don't care to get into every little detail.

If I were responding to this post I'd probably say some of the same thing's.

Gonna try Rugers cure now and fire up a sausage biscuit and some hash brown's.

Thanks you very much..:)

Two Moons you are exhibiting typical backyard puppymill mentality. One might think that after all the posts on here about improving the breed that you had learned something? Apparently not!

Hard to believe you put much thought into this.

Shelley- most buyers are always going to be pet people. By producing quality puppies these people received a pup with good temperments, beautiful, and healthy and as close to the standard as possible.. You have alot to be proud of for adhering to high quality standards so be proud of your accomplishments!
