(continued)
My dogs ALL have top Seiger names in their pedigrees. Obviously, they are made up of the TOP GERMAN LINES!!!
Surely you jest. You certainly haven’t done your homework. Regardless of the confusion, the best of the best can produce the worst of the worst. Again, is this another “marketing tool” for your back yard bred pups?
I have bred my dogs for over 17 years and have never had a complaint. I bought a Bullinger male to add to my lines.
I for one would like to see the OFA (or German) hip certs on the dogs you’ve bred in that 17 years, where those pups went and what their hips/health are now.
Here’s another wake-up call. There is no way to judge “excellant” conformation from a picture of a dog that is improperly stacked and possibly a little overweight. No “hands on” and no way to see her moving. And that’s just a “show-ring” crap mentality.
A pedigree is just that. The dog’s heritage on paper and tells you nothing about what other progeny have done or what all the pups in the litter are doing, what their health is...the list goes on. That pedigree changes with every breeding and only constant testing (health, temperament, etc.) will tell how successful the breeding is.

(continued, final)
Not knowing anything about lines yourself how will you know what to breed to to improve her lesser qualities based on the breed standard? Based on solid nerves? Based on temperament? Based on health? Based on drive?
One other thing. Do you have a website? Kennel name? Do you just advertise the litters in the newspaper or on Craig’s List?

JustLurkin,
First off I'd like to respond to you insinuation that I'm a back yard breeder! Who the F##* do you think you are? I came here and asked opinions of my dog and her pedigree, same as many others do, If it makes you feel superior in any way, shape or form, "Knock Yourself Out".
And I know where everyone of past puppies are
I know more about my dogs pedigrees than the average person knows about theirs (I'm talking average, obviously not you, you seem to know an awful lot, can you tell me the title of your KNOW IT ALL BOOK? I might learn something from you.
And, I can GUARANTEE you, 5 intruders armed with bats ain't 'getting 'out of my yard. My dogs routinly go on 15-20 mile hikes through the woods with me riding, they can and will herd up horses and bring them home where they belong. They will find the grand kids where ever they are, and as far as who will I breed my dog to, My dog, that the pedigrees go pretty good togeather http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/551618.html Got a problem with that?
How many of you dog people have had your dog temperment tested? I think if you share a life with your dog , the temperment can be assessed by the owner, maybe I'm wrong about that too.
JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY, Where been LURKIN before you came Here???
ps...I've been insulted by Much Better than you on this board..

When you do have Blue or Liver dogs from your breedings you do have the common sense to spay or neuter these dogs so they don,t get put back into the gene pool?.

I have to hand it to you. That's the best attempt at "spin" I've seen here in a long time. The lament of the Back Yard Breeder outted.
Hey! If you don't want to answer the simple questions that's fine. It's not like I'm going to be the next unsuspecting puppy buyer you'll sell a pup to. It's you and people like you that are destroying the breed and it's you and people like you that give good breeders who do health screenings and temperament test in various ways and take great care to place their pups in suitable homes for the pups and those home environments a bad name. And that's the very least of what a good breeder does and knows.
It's people like you who claim to be breeders that lead to the hundreds of posts here about "What do I do?" breeder scam threads.
Like any good BYB it's all about the to people like you.
So much for the ooooh's and ahhhhh's you were expecting on a future breeding based on pedigree alone, huh?.
Just for your information there isn't a good, reputable and responsible breeder on this board who wouldn't have answered those questions.
ps...if you were insulted by people better than me on this board then you probably had it coming and it's not hard to see why.

I dont know why someone would breed dogs strickly to be family pets (maybe easy money?). If someone wants a family pet they should go to their local animal shelter or rescue and adopt. No need to bring in more dogs to this world that will end up their anyway.
