lol 2nd question. How many GSD do you own?????lol you must have a kennel huh? lol
i'd have to say Sultan is exactly like Max!!! and Naty just like Maddy lol. (based on what you're telling me) ha ha ha. About the training; Sultan started training at 4 months and that's because he was very very obediant for a puppy so he's trained in obedience. Naty in the other hand, oh goshhh, she's sooo crazy and disobedient!!! we call her and she ignores us completely, oh but of course, if we have a doggie treat, she obeys perfectly (smart gal). we gonna have to send her to doggie boot camp. she's very disobedient right now and very hyper. she's always jumping and biting everyones rear end!! lol
Can I see pics of your babies??
OH, about when she's in Heat, Alex mentioned that to me and I can't hardly wait to see that lol !!!!!

Gilma,
I currently have four, thats three too many. They are a handful and I'm strained to give each of them the time and attention they need. One was a rescue of sort's, I wasn't looking for a new dog when I guy showed me Midnite, her owner had no business owning a dog period and I couldn't turn my back on her. I don't run a kennel, I've just alway's had a lot of animal's including the dog's. German Shepherd's have alway's been my favorite.
Naty sound's like a normal young GSD, discourage the biting and replace it with toy's to allow her to burn off the energy.
At an early age use a treat to encourage her to come to you, later you can use other method's. She should spend more time with you than Sultan, work with them separately. Dog's teach each other thing's too. She needs to bond with you and your husband and not Sultan.
I'll see what kind of pic's I can find and resize them, they are too big straight out of the camera.
Brent.

thanks for your advise about Naty, you are right on that.. she spents too much time socializing with Sultan, playing around, taking his toy away from him. we'll do that; work with them separately. and that's one of our problems, we usually, well, always let them out at the same time and we dont spend time with her alone. thanks much!!! and hope to see your babies soon!
take care and have a nice nite!

Alex- here is a couple of ideals I have tried over the years...
ALways keep the dog guessing if or when it will get a treat. Replace the treats/ball with praise at times and slowly wean away from the food. With my first GSD I used to wear a small bag with treats in it and mine figured out if I had the bag then she would get a treat and when I was around without the bag started to ignore me and not obey. I quit using the bag and would have a treat and the ball with me and she never knew when she got a reward. Sometimes I even hide the treats close by and not even on my person. Only took me a few weeks and the problem was fixed.
The other suggestion is do not play/train with the dog at the same time or place all the time. Keep it guessing.

DesertRanger,
thank you for your advise! we used to do that with SUltan but since sultan has matured, we have forgotten that we have another puppy, Naty, so we havent been doing that with her. but is never late to correct her right? she's just too hyper and disobedient! am expecting and so the other day i was outside sitting down looking at some babyshower pics and all of the sudden she jumps on me out of nowhere, she got me off guard and i got soo scared because her paws landed on my tummy. and for a second i thought it was Sultan but he doesnt do that. so definitely we are going to start working with her and her treats.
thanks much!!!!
have a great Sunday!
