I agree with Preston.  Looks good in this one pic, largely, but that doesn't mean he can be shown well.  Too many folks jump to the conclusion that they can obtain an SG or V because they and their friends think the dog looks good.

I don't know enough to give any kind of detailed or constructive evaluation, I just wanted to comment on how handsome he is over-all, and also to say nice job on stacking him.

Thanks so much for the comments. Unfortunately where i live we don't get any SV style judge or breed warden. To get him a KK1 i will have to take him Germany which costs a lot from where I live. If i save up enough money maybe i will do that. Since I cannot consult anyone here I wanted everyone's opinion so I can learn. Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment on him and help me learn in the process. I really appreciate it. I am so proud to own him and he has a great personality

Thanks Again,

Mav

Hey guys, this is a new pic taken today. I know the stack is a bit off but what do you guys think?

i like him. nice level topline strong features, can't really find a serious fault a little heavy but nothing bad

i'm no expert on stacking but his front feet need to be under a bit more, get a big mirror in front of you                                  (leaning up against the photographer) so you can see if its a correct stack, it helps.

I still think he's very nice, though he could stand to lose a few pounds.

If the dog tends to lean back when being stacked, get a treat, and bait the dog to get its attention. Even the pros do it...go to the Westminsiter kennel club site, and watch how the top AKC handlers stack their dogs. There are videos available, if you look for them.

He's absolutely gorgeous!  I'm not a pro and still learning proper conformation....but he's definately a gorgeous male and beautiful in color

Thanks guys for the comments. yes he definitely needs to lose a few pounds  been working on that slowly as i don't want it to happen too fast. Managed to find a good spot for him to swim so gonna start taking him there on the weekends and during the week i throw the ball and take him jogging. Was thinking of entering him in a show that is coming up in November, what do you guys think about it? I know you guys can't comment on his gaiting or temperament but based on the pic you think he's ready for a show? Thought it might be fun for him and me

Thanks Again,

Mav

tone him up a bit and i would say he is in with a chance, swim him and trot him

try to get a good definition on his loin perhaps cut his feed a tiny bit 1/4 of a cup less give him a bit of salmon oil for a really glossy coat and practice his stack

most of all HAVE FUN

good luck
