I have an F-king shepherd at least thats how some people  refer to him... your f-king shepherd just peed in my shoe, your f-king shepherd just ate the thanksgiving turkey stuff like that  He is part corgi so he's smaller than a regular shepherd.  I thought that I had a Don King Shepherd but she was just a long hair,,,

enjoy your dog..   Jeff

I just had to reply to this post. There are people who have King Shepherds that have submitted the new DNA breed test.  And the results coming back as GSD's.  There are new breeders popping up everywhere breeding these so called king Shepherds, who are merely oversized GSD's. I would like to see the results of your King Shepherd DNA posted here. I am willing to bet no such results exist. unless you have a 100% mutt. Just my 2 cents

Hey, let's look on the bright side....at least this person can spell Shepherd, unlike the "pure black amazing shepard pups" being advertised here today from Montana  and who will be able to do just about everything, including perhaps flush the toilet......

We should all be glad that this person apparently is a responsible owner, spending time and energy and money on the dog. That is more than I can say for the 6 emails I have had this week from people wanting to dump their purebred GSDs, some of whom have bitten someone, and others who are old and not housebroken or trained, or sociaiized and whose owner just died etc. etc. etc.

As far as King breeders "breeding out" the problems in the breed....Nicole, you are far off the mark here. Indeed, this group of mutts is know to have many genetic predispositions to a variety of ills, many of which also affect GSDs and other large breeds.

Keycat, you miss the point: A dog named shiloh or king is, in fact, a mix. If there are others who bred GSDs for size and decided to also call them KING because of their idiotic size desire, perhaps some who would be tested genetically would come back as GSDs. But, a king or a shiloh is, by definition, a mutt. If one wants to be really picky, and go back a hundred years, the GSD itself is a mutt, bred selectively by hand picked dogs who had not much more in common than their herding ability and perhaps biddability or desire to please a human and want to learn. I would venture to say that many people who would submit DNA samples to this new test who have "purebred" GSDs might also be surprised when the results come back with genetic markers identifying some of the genetic code of other breeds. Why would that happen? Just because only so many genetic codes of pure bred dogs are yet identified and, in fact, probably all canids stem from a handful, at the most, of progenitors.

Or wait, we can have, as advertised today :

West German meets American ~ Phenominal Pairing!

This person (? puppy mill?)  has three, count them THREE litters coming and purposely breeds LONG COATS.  But geez, she meets the breed standard.......Must be in Amish country of Ohio...... and the pups are also able to do anything and everything.....

So, give Nicole a break....at least he/she does something with the dog, unless he/she is just spoofing everyone or a spy for a foreign country or or or or......

Kings & Shilohs kinda make me cringe. Isn't it true? The bigger they are the more skeletal problems come early on in life?

DaKota is a whapping 90 lbs & moves good for a 9 yr. old. I have seen bigger GSDs at 9 yrs that look ancient & can barely move.

"weighs 150 pounds and can rip a timberwolf a new one"............... Are you serious? That's a bragging right?

Oh, and anyone that goes out and pays more for a mutt than a shelter adoption fee is utterly ignorant.

Hodie, short-stuff is back posting again with his veiled "messages" and is one of  the persons associated with a certain disgusting matter.  This smiley faced sicko continues to impersonate women in posts and is one sick fella.  Ignore this line of posts as it is meaningless for this forum and the breed.  If it persists he will be identified.
