4pack

by 4pack on 23 July 2008 - 22:07

Venzosmom, yes I start my pups ASAP, not so hard core with this last one. Too busy with big brother to push her, when I can deal with her later. Funny I'm just not into her right now, she's rather annoying and not a dog I enjoy spending time with (maybe I'm puppied out, 4th in 2 years, not counting my litter). For now she gets worked, OB'd or excersized and put up. I worked her enough to know the drives are there and am waiting for the spaz spell to wear off. Baden I did everything with, took everywhere to see everything, he knew what a stick hit was at 10 weeks old and nothing could distract or drag him off a bite and still can't. I throw shaker bottles at them, alluminum cans, trash bags full of whatever, tarps, different surfaces and tight spaces, work in the dark, in the car, metal sheds are good for banging on too. Just think of crazy things to do with your pups while they are out. Try throwing a towel or sheet over them as they are on a tug or sleeve, drag them through a kid pool, piles of leaves, whetever until they will stay on that bite dangling over the Sears Tower.

VB, AB 1634  sucks and should be shredded not thrown in the trash for someone else to dog out.

Hodie, my dog doesn't really get in the trash, I have a baby gate to prevent that. I just envisioned something like that due to the thread title. Digging up grandmas flowers, leaving presents on the concrete patio, eating the couch when I'm at work...lol non of that happens here. That's what kennels are for!

Pic of the pup in the toilet is GREAT! I had a kitten that liked to swim in the toilet bowl but this beats out.

Someday when my dog is done titling, he will be switched to my PPD and given the finishing touches for that. I'm still dabbling in the cattle herding and would love to do some AKC events for fun but can't afford to be all over the place. If I had more time and money, I'd do it all! My dogs the perfect male, loves to do as I say and waits patiently for me to bark the next order.

4pack,   thanks for the ideas........i think i might try some of those,so far he has no fear & id like to keep it like that-although hes a handful because of it too.......(driving me nuts)      yes, he dives into the toilet, it doesnt matter if there is 5 water bowls, he wants to swin in it, splashes water everywhere, he's always into something...  also he goes outside and gets into the 5 gallon buckts outside and "swims"  loves the kiddie pool too, but also likes to stalk the kids & cats, and thinks he supposed to hag off my pants.....he's known to us as punk.... and a alot of other names too.........lol

We do obedience, rally, a little agility, (he's only 9 months) and he does well at it all.  But he LIVES for sheep herding and fetch in the lake.

With the Shepherds I do obedience, tracking, carting, some agility, some bite work. (schutzhund style)

With the Corgi's one is doing conformation (soon), also obedience, agility, have tried herding, there favorite thing is to chase the Shepherds.

They all love to go to the school down the street so I can throw the ball for them.

My adult GSD has done therapy work. My pup is a tracking fool and I'm also training him in obedience and drive work. We may do schutzhund, herding or rally. I really enjoy the therapy work and the tracking.
