As for color - I have to agree that depending on the light - a black and red can look alot different if taken in different light.  Molly has a very vibrant red, but some pictures show up light a light tan.  Might look like a different dog because the colors are so drastic, however in the 2 pictures above - they certianly look like different dogs, but I am by no means an expert.

Thats the case with my dog to....sun exposure can cause a lot of diiference. I also need a honest expert critique of my dog taking both pictures into consideration. If someone can critique her, i will be very grateful. Oh and i am not one of those cruel owners that sell their dog just because they dont turn out to be show dogs. I just take keen interest in Roxxy and i wanted to know whether or not she has improved.

Thankyou.

Need to take a pic with the exact angle and pose as the first pic and it will be easier to comment.

right but isnt that close?? Can u critique her by looking at her second picture. I have learned a bit form this site. All i know is that her rumpy stage has passed. She doesnt have a roach anymore. Well thats about it.

The first pic appears to show gray/silver right in the middle of the black on her side but on the second pic it appears to not be there?  Most common for the gray/silver area to be bigger not smaller as the dog ages.

In the first pic the coats appears to be thicker/longer (possibly) than the second pic based on in the first pic the collar does not show while in the second pic the collar stands out alot.

The reason I wanted to see an exact pose is that in the first pic the neck seems to be alot thicker than ion the second pic where she is actually older.

She lost A LOT of weight due to kennel cough. She was in very good health when she was 12 months old. She lost ten pounds and a lot of muscle mass at the age of 15 months. I also want some experts to critique her.

Thankyou.

I am not understanding why everyone is accusing her of lying.  Sure the dog looks different, but the angle the pic was taken isn't the same, it's not taken in the same light or in the same position.

She says the dog lost weight from being sick and as for the coat...it's likely she's blown her coat from the first pic which can make a big difference.

Geez it's not like she posted a second picture of a VA bitch there and saying "look at my bitch now!"

My point is why would she lie?

Thankyou GSDfan! Like you said i have not posted a picture of a VA bitch. I do not want to get a rise out of people by posting two pictures of separate bitches. All i want is a honest critique. I want to know whether she has improved. Will she do better in the ring at 15months? I know she was going through a rumpy stage at 12 months.

The shoulder lay is wrong.  She's better stacked in the 2nd photo, but honestly she doesn't seem well balanced in either photo.  Perhaps better stacking would change things a bit?  In any case one cannot change the structure of the dog's front.  I do believe it's the same dog based on the angles of the front and rear.

I've seen the sun wash out vivd red dogs to make them look very different.  Take your photos in evening sun with the sun behind you for the most accurate color in photos.

I don't think anyone is lying but apparently due to all the circumstances the dog looks so much different and some of us are just commenting on that. I just would like to see two exact poses so we can give a fair opinion.  You have to admit the differences caused many of us to question what we were looking at. No insult meant at all.
