If you can get past the extreme views on both side's and then get past some of the total Bull Crap that some here spew you surely realize that man has alway's had a negetive impact on our earth, and now more than ever in history this impact is increasing at an astronomical rate. Global warming may very well be just a cycle, but nature has this bounce back equalizing effect, and the next major concern might be just the opposite like another ice age. Either way, I watch weather patterns and have for many years and I can tell you what I see lately I have never seen before. No one is going to convince me the earth and our invironment is improving in any way shape or form, period. Bush is definately not an environmentalist, and no friend to mother earth, but you can't lay this in his lap, its been going on since man first appeared and is a world wide problem. The earth is a living thing and all life is connected and dependant on its whole. You might not miss a spotted owl, but you will miss the bee's, and the rain forest. You'll miss the fish in the oceans, and the crops that wont grow in a drought. You've seen lately floods that haven't been this bad in 500 years. If you believe the earth can sustain us no matter we do to it your a fool, and if you cant see the harm we do to it every day all over the planet your either blind or your not really looking. Its not the moon and its not gravity, its man and our device's, our toxic garbage, or destruction of resource's, or consumption. Its real and you better believe it. It wont effect the GSD's (glbtrottr) because left to themselve's they would survive without man.

Follow the MONEY!
Most of the people spouting off about global warming are working on government grants. No Global Warming = NO MONEY!
The Earths temperature is in direct proportion to the amount of sunspot activity. The Earth's temperature has actually dropped in the last ten years.
There are known accurate maps of the land underneath the ice covering Antartica from the 15th century. Which cleary means the Earth was considerably warmer well before fossil fuels. As Hodie already said, it goes in cycles.

Not offended at all. Did not know if you knew much about me or at least enough to know that what I was saying was tongue in cheek and a joke, just wanting to make sure you knew that I was not a real looney tunes.
I agree with some historians that over time and once we are all dead and gone the historians of that time will view Bush in a very postive way on his handling of terrorism. He was the first World Leader that said enough is enough and took actions against an enemy that has no country, has no uniform, has no single leader and started making precise strikes where the Muslim fanatics trained and plotted their evil. HE will be remembered that after 911 which happened at the first of his 8 years in office not one other attack has happended on American soil, this is not an accident but because of the hard work of many dedicated military and law enforcement people. Much like your own Winston Churchill was practically dis-owned and ignored while warning against Hitler but when the chips were down he was called on for help, a man of his own mind that did not cave to politicial pressure. I think Bush will be remembered favorably.. Now on many other fronts Bush has done alot of things that I do not like such as his spending etc but on the War on Terrorism he has stood firm! I appreciate that from him.
thanks for reading and hope our current holiday does not offend you ! Just kidding!\
I for one am glad the Brits are Americas friend. If we could only have one country as our Ally I would chose England,, the courage you people had to withstand hitler was amazing and did save Europe from getting conquered, gave time for America to wake up and join forces with Brits.

looking at the USA as an outsider, and of course there is much we do not know about the Politices of the USA
All in all i think Mr Bush has done a very good job for his country
i see him as a polite man but with strong convictions which he carries out, all in all a strong leader of his country
Now he is going i do wonder at the canidates who is going to try and take over from him, as to there convictions and strengths, certainly the older guy of the two he seems to have a problem speaking and when he does it is not very convincing, But as i said i am an outsider looking on
As for Mr Churchill, He was a great Man and a brave one, he crossed the seas on ships so many times without being blown out of the water, someone up above was looking after him
At least it is good that someone like yourself appreciates another counties help like the Brits, for its size i do not think they do to bad,
As Mr Churchill said, Its the British Bull Dog Spirit which still prevails today, I was born during the War, and even 10 years after it was hard, but its a part of life, and a pity we cannot have more peace in the World

I agree it would be nice to never have a war again. But America and the rest of the world endured many terrorist attacks upon our people's from the Muslim fanatics(please don't ask that I list them but I could) and although 911 forced Bush's hand the the American people demanded revenge and he had to make hard choices. We can argue all day over who made what mistake but it is what is is.
This post was my way to highlight the absurd things that people will believe and how the liberal media has shaped so many minds over the years. I did not mean this to insult anyone.
As for our two politicial candidiates neither one is appealing to me, One is an empty suit but good talker, racist or used "his" people to gain politicial power, no expereince , never lead a business or anything, has college degree and was a community activist, appears to have alot of shady if not corrput dealings, now he is moving from the left to the center so I don't know for sure what he really stands for if anything. I think his ideal of change means for for the half black guy..His wife is the typical loud mouth black racist female who they are having to hide.
McCain I could never stand the guy, seems to be like Obama Hussian in that he thinks he is the second coming, hot headed and that could have some effect on his decision, a average speaker but a man of chararcter. His record has no pork attachments like most others including Obama. I will likely vote for McCain as I think he will be much better suited to be commander in chief.
So like them or not this is my opinion.

well, I maybe able to give some clarity on the algea problem china has.
they have what is called green "hair algea". it is caused by warm water temps and too much nutrients in the water. lets see, China has had a major earthquake, flooding which has caused A TON of run off into the waterways, and poof, you have a massive amount of hair algea. has nothing to do with Bush or his family
you have the same issue in Aquariums with hair algea. too many nutrients in the water from
a) over feeding (in an aquarium situation), or from the run off due to all the flooding china has delt with recently
b) unusually warm weather
c) too many nitrates and phosphates in the water due to pollution and other run off due to the flooding
VERY FEW marine animals and fish eat hair algea, except for a few species of crabs but even they won't touch it if it is over an inch or 2 long.
This planet is far older than what we believe or have been led to believe. you can view fossil records, ice core records, ocean floor samples ect and see for your self the earth has cycled for eons between warm and cold periods. granted, we humans haven't helped the situation and may have accelerated it a bit, but this planet will keep rocking on long after we are gone.
I seriously doubt a family from Texas will bring about the end of the world :) DEATH BY ALGEA
