Age really should not be a major factor. I know people that are in their 50's which are less mature than Krista.
Do any of you have kids?
If your 16 yr old asked to be involved in dogs with you, would you tell them they are too young? Especially a child that is mature and responsible?
Up to this point most of you thought she was older because of her maturity.
Hell, I act like I'm 17 half the time.

A teacher..30-40 yrs old? Oh come on! I never got that impression, I always felt she was very young not more than 21, that is posting under Naya's mom not Blue Sky, maybe the was her mother and her sharing until she got her own account? I'm sure she wanted to sound mature so she could better bennefit here. Some people just want info, not to be goo goo'd and talked to like a child.

We are only experts on ourselves, we cannot say how a person of any age is going to react to a situation. But you know she came to the right people for help instead of dumping her dogs on the street, or at a shelter. Did we not grow up learning that if in trouble seek the best help you can?

I had guessed early 20's. So what? I know many a "youngster" that is more responsible then some here that lie and don't follow good practices in breeding. Many here have given false names and hide their kennel information, even at least one that is scolding Krista now and talking about being deceived by her.
There are some younger that are learning here, and other places, about GSD's and what it takes to be a good breeder. These youth do not sound like kids, they are being mature and responsible. As Nia said, there are the legal issues involved in sales contracts. I don't know about AKC but in APHA and AQHA, a youth can be registered owner of a horse. For me, I owned my horses, and had my own boarding stable business, before I was 16. I was responsible for getting the registrations done on my first paint horse when I was 13, back when an inspector had to come see them first so I needed to do all the contact and appointments. Not all "kids" are immature idiots, just like not all "adults" are knowledgable.

Yeh, animules and here this 'kid' is learning how to lie and deceive with the best of them with you and others standing her corner. What great role models for teaching her honesty is the right policy, not. Help and sympathise by all means but stop condoning her lies by making excuses for her. If she's mature enough to own and breed dogs then she's old enough to know the difference between truth and lie.

Just a stupid question - but does anyone have any real concrete proof here? Do you A Shepherd? All I have heard is 'he said she said' - with nothing to back it up save pictures of a mouth. How do we know who is telling the truth and who isnt? Are we just assuming that Lisa is telling the truth and that Kristen is lying? What are those assumptions based off of?
