Smartguy: Please listen to the intelligent posters above such as Hodie,GSDtravels, etc. Tethering is never a good idea, please crate the dogs for your peace of mind and theirs.

SitasMom- Im sure that you did what you thought was best when you purchased that dog that was aggressive. Im positive you learned a lesson after that. The only difference between you and me is that when you went to those trainers looking for answers they didn't call you an irresponsible person and should never own a dog.
By the way i got another BH today and going for sch1 tomorrow.

Also, I hope all turns out well for you in your current situation. We all live and learn. And, you have.
Take care.

You need a help mate......
The kennels at Sams are well worth putting your money into.
I have spend mega thousands on AKC gauged guaranteed kennels for my back yard to put together with the other ones from HOME DEPOT and LOWES>...they are not for german shepherds...they are for lap dogs//.
My working line dogs dif not stay in a gauged wire kennel from AKC even ,,,I laughed the first day on the ground...no guide wire on bottom of door and Bear ate the wire right out of the door...Looked up and here he was...I was furious....
My son took rebar for fencing and lines all my bottoms of all fencing on kennels but my next one is the one from SAMS>>>the price is fair and it is black iodizned steel ..the whole kennel and plenty large....call before you go and see if they have one....Tyler Sams sold the two they had so not one on floor....the are $499.00 why pay 189.00 for a cheaply made cyclone wire cage from anywhere when you can put money in that and take it with you any where you go...never will break and you can repaint it in 10 years..
The only place you would need to worry is where your male dog lifts his leg on the frame...I would spray the kennel one time with a protective coat of Clear Coat to preserve it for that reason...

I also was going to recommend a portable kennel (get heavy gauge wire) and Patio blocks. For extra security when the female comes in heat be sure and top both kennels. Unfortunately anyone can make mistakes and it is sad when our animals have to pay for them. Glad your dogs are ok!

The only way you can get a real Heavy gauge like we use to get normally is go to a fence company and ask them to make one..and you will pay thru the nose....the one at Sams is all steel....whole thing form top to bottom bars and all...no wire involved....I have 30 kennels and cages at my place and everyone is rewired, redone, rewired..reinforced by my son with cattle wire, engine ties, cow clips and you name it.
I will soon one day sell off as used kennels all I have and invest in two only two new black idozonized steel kennels that cannot be torn up by mouths of monsters.

My original kennels were from Lowe's or Home Depot & like others said were very cheaply made & easy to destroy.
Not exactly what I have but close:
