My word, he still has to develop them himself, he doesn't have a processor?  Heck I could have gotten better by myself.  LOL  I think he needs to update things a bit.  That way he doesn't have to worry about them being in the developing solution too long.  Either that, or he had the setting too high is a reason why the xray would be too dark.

ok, first thing I noticed when comparing this xray to the ones on leerburgs site is that the legs in this xray almost seem to be butterflied? ummm spread out. They should run in a straight line. I will make sure the next set done are done by someone that knows what they are doing. I tried to print our examples but wouldnt you knowit, my printer ran out of black half way thru. I do have the example on the OFA application, I might take that with me tomorrow and see if he offers to redo the xrays. Do you think I should wait a week or so before redoing them? I am concerned about her being sedated that close together.

Your rays are fine. Don't look like a fool demanding something you really know nothing about. If you do jump on the band wagon with uneducated opinions ... you might as well spend the moneys and go to different Vet's until that bandwagon is satisfied with the results. Personally, I think the dog looks good, there's nothing really to bicker over and the age is 7 months. Keep up the exercise, avoid crates and hazard elements, flax and milk will do the body good. Don't forget to post the rays @ 18 months. :o)~  Just my opinion, opinions do vary. LOL

Hello,

The positioning is far from perfect, the dogs femurs need to be parallel and internally  rotated. The thighs are abducted in this x-ray,The depth of socket and the femoral head appear normal in this filmand most probably the dog would have no hip problems.Secondly  in a puppy of 7 months age I dont expect to have such tight joint space as some amount of laxity is expected due to growth phase, this apparent tight joint spacing is probably the result of postioning. The pelvis is also rotated in this film. You can redo the x-rays at 1 year.I am not a expert on this but being a human doctor I have posted my views.
