First I like to make a comment on the Spelling erros, I make many of them for one reason or other and many others do too, so one should not be so judgemental on the spellings. Counting well hm one should be able to count how many pups they have should not be that hard to do 1-10 a firstgrader can count that much.
Now count my misspellings.
About the breeding age yes it makes me sick too 2 years and up should be set for Regulation and Standart NOT 1 year and under. unacceptable.
Now I wonder if they could count the $

Yet there are BYB feed 'em and breed 'em types on this board that have breeding practices that are just as poor. And reasoning that is just as ignorant. And they are given credence by being engaged in discussions on breeding. It only gives them false legitimacy.
Those that breed out of curiosity of what they can produce. Answer: Little lives that add to the burgeoning number of non breedworthy dogs with full registration. By all means let's exponentially increase the number of ignorant BYB's. Then there are those who come on here with dog's who have know genetic defects asking for information on the best time to breed. Or those who love the idea of a dog being a mommy. Lord. I get so sick of those with no integrity or honor or, above all, conscience about the dynamics they put in place.
Discouraging that the information of experienced, qualified breeders is available and put forth on this board every day and the morons who perpetuate these practices are too dense to comprehend the information.
I agree with Fiona and her hurling icon.

Yell all you want.
Here's a question for you: Do either of these dogs have any type of hip rating? I can't find them on the OFA or SV databases.
I've owned numerous dogs over the years who have been outstanding with children, but that in no way should be the standard for making them breed worthy.
My particular problem with you is the simple fact that you seem to have no care for the breed in general as a whole. Who cares that you bred 5-5 on Mink. Whoop-de-do. Who made Mink the pilar of the breed and gives exceptions to anyone who linebreeds on him? What else ya got? You bred a male at TEN MONTH without any type of hip screening on purpose. Do his parents have any type of hip certifications? They are not in the OFA or SV databases. There is a standard for the breed for a reason and you don't seem to think it applies to you. Can you explain why you chose to breed a 10 month old male? What makes him so exceptional (other than he can sit and lay and doesn't growl at your children) that he should be bred at such a young age without any type of hip certifications? How much research did you actually do?

Oh please, cut the bull, you aren't fooling anyone. You don't "love" your dogs. You see them as a way to make some money. You couldn't even wait until they were old enough to get the necessary health requirements - but then you wouldn't bother with that anyway, it would cut into your profits.
If you think what you are doing with your dogs is good I hate to think how your poor kids are being raised.

To all who provided some constructive thoughts on this add, Thank u! To those of you that seem to think they are perfect, Shame shame. Did you ever think that maybe if u guys have certain standards that u should make someone understands them b4 giving them rights to advertise on this site? maybe, maybe not. If any of u guys or girls have some constructive thoughts on how my wife and I could possibly do this better than please by all means let us know. But in a kind way otherwise no one wants to listen. I sure do hope i spelled the rest of these words right and didn't make to many errors with my grammer.. Always thought this was a database for pedigrees not a sight for a spelling b. With more constructive criticism my wife and I can do better.

Glad you are open to suggestions, that is a step in the right direction.
Bare minimum....wait till they're mature and have their hips checked.
Desired maximum... work your dogs in a sport that tests their working abilities, temperament and nerves (like Schutzhund), get a conformation rating and breed survey to formally determine their suitable to breed.

VanLuvender,
One thing that you can do is take a step back and do some more research before breeding this pair again until the male is old enough to have his hips/elbows certified by the OFA. You can do prelims at one year, but the official rating is not until the dog is two years of age. The female can be done now once she's done whelping her puppies.
Health certifications is just the first step in a breeding program. There are so so many other things to consider. Breeding should be done to "improve" upon the breed not just because you love the dogs. We all love our dogs and think that they are the greatest dogs, but that doesn't mean that we should be breeding them.
While many on this board believe in abiding by the SV regulations when it comes to breeding GSD's, including myself. That "might" not be for everyone. I think that the dogs at least should have proved themselves in someway and not just in our own eyes. The system has it's flaws, but it is something. (I think that it's 24 months for males and 22 months or something for females, correct me if I'm wrong on the female side. The dogs must have a title in either Schutzhund or HGH. The dogs must have a minimum show rating of at least a G. The dogs must have hip/elbow certification. Ideally the dogs will be Breed Surveyed as well.

vanLuvender,
A GSDs hips can not be certified in America until they are two years old. Most choose not to breed their dogs until this certifications can be done. I could be wrong on the exact age, but in Germany, a male can not be bred until he is 20 months old. If he is bred before that, the puppies will not receive pedigrees. Correct me if I am wrong. The hips can be certified through the German SV at the age of 1 year. That does not mean a dog should be bred at that age.
Did you at least xray either of these dogs before breeding them?
