Don Corleone

1) You don't have to tell me how tough the Michigan women are.  I'm married to one!

2) That looks dangerous!  What if that collapsed and nobody was there to dig them out?

Their dad is an engineering teacher at the local career center and he helped them build it.  The walls are about 3 ft. thick and made out of snow bricks and packed real tight.  No chance of it melting anytime soon either.   With as many snow days as we've had, they've had plenty of time to build!

Tracking is my most favorite part of schutzhund.  I'm really not kidding, I love it.  I can't explain why, but time stops for me and I get such satisfaction from it.  Simple things amuse me.

I must be missing something. What's wrong with tracking in the snow?

The problem that comes with tracking in the snow is that the dog learns to use his eyes.

I bury things in the snow for them to find, socks, tennis balls etc. for tracking. I don't think they use their eyes for that. They find the scent cone.

If you put food on top of the snow then I suppose they would use their eyes, that makes sense.
