Beautiful guy your Jack! His dad "Ice" is a looker and a mover!

One interesting thing you should be aware of GSD2007, is that Champion Ice, Jack's sire is linebred off of Mark von Haus Beck.. Why is this a big deal?  If you want a GSD male to win a beauty contest, Mark was the sire to linebreed off of.  Secondly, unlike many showlines, GSDs with Mark's linebreeding tended to be very correct temperament with extreme defense drives and great trainability, true working animals of the scope of Mutz Peltztierfarm.   So with Mark linebreeding you tend to get brains and beauty, what a combination, fantastic pigment, and you get good male type.  That is why Ch. Ice is a valuable sire and should turn out to be a top producer for conformation and working ability.  And that is why Jack (KMF) is so classy and attractive with good male type.  Congratulations on owning a very nice male from most worthy breeding.  I hope Videx starts making frozen or chilled semen available from Ch. Ice for folks in the USA who want to tap into the primo genetic material provided by Ch. Ice.

Congratulations on having such a stunning dog with great health and working abilty.  You truly do have the total package.

Preston, I always appreciate your informative posts, especially those about lines and breed history, I always end up learning something.  One question, is artificial insemination now acceptable to the SV?

Forgot to add  I hope your dog will be completing his titles.  Seeing your dog on the  field will encourage others to follow suit, perhaps become more involved in the sport?

Thank you Preston.

No doubt: Ice is a superb specimen in every way. But, Preston, why make so much of fifth generations Mark Haus Beck contribution? (Mere one-sixteenth of total genetic makeup.) What about pedigree’s other great animals? (In fact, separate genetic inputs by Odin, Yago and Cello each alone exceed Mark’s.) Champion Ice: Breeder: Gerard Thanhoffer. Handled by Andrew Connolly. Trained and campaigned David & Sharon Bowen. Owned by Videx.

Sueinc, I know that artificial insemination is accepted by the AKC as long as it is done according to their rules.  Last I heard the SV had not yet approved it.  But I don't know for sure.  And I don't know what the rules will remain for entering a dog in WDA events.  Will the WDA accept some AKC rules and still require SV breed surveys and run their events like a sanctioned SV, WUSV, or FCI show?
